Funny enough, vehicle damage in this edition is very intuitive. Note the following:
Armor value 10 vs. strength 6, hull point loss on a 4+ (Similar to toughness 6)
Armor value 11 vs. strength 7, hull point loss on a 4+ (Similar to tougness 7)
.
.
.
Armor value 14, vs. strength 10, hull point loss on a 4+ (Similar to toughness 10)
So to calculate, simply combine your old binomial therom calculations with the new vehicle chart + standard wound calculations.
In some cases, such as with eldar, it is easier to kill a vehicle by popping out its hull points. The vast majority of vehicles only have 3 wounds, and AP doesn't matter.
Vehicles are much more fragile. I think the biggest thing, though, is that vehicles get popped very easily in hth.

That is some real perspective there. Feel like i just had the curtain pulled from my eyes, now all i see is toughness 6+ multiwound models.

I disagree on the more fragile though. It is more likely that they die over the course of a game, but at the same time, vehicles are much less likely to be nullified in round one.
Just ask anybody who ever fielded a vindicator in 5th. Basically any glance made it useless, now they simply shrug it off.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

I don't know if I agree with that. If we completely ignore hull points, ap 2giving you +1 puts you on the same chart as before. AP1 giving you +2 puts you on the same chart as before. You're only more survivable vs. missile launchers really, except that vehicles are softer in hth and have weaker cover saves. Add in hull points, and now they're weak to getting glanced out too, especially vehicles that have armor value 10/11 on the side, since heavy bolter glances mean something again.

Before, a single glance could deactivate your entire vehicle: Shake, Stun, Weapon Destroy and, depending on your gun, Immobilized would make an expensive battletank worthless, while stun and immobilized were almost as bad as wrecked for transports and CC walkers. Lascannons, Meltas etc do the same they have done on a penetrating hit - but they can no longer harm your vehicle with just one glance though.
