Hey I was wondering am I able to use an entire unit of warlocks? or do I have to send them with a farseer or along with guardians and wraithguard?

You buy a unit of warlocks for your farseer, but the farseer does not have to join them. They can't join other units though, because they are a unit themselves, not single independent characters.

Oh I see so as long as I have a farseer I may have a unit of warlocks, but the farseer doesn't have to remain with the unit?

Buy farseer, unlock warlock squad option.
It is NOT a retinue. Farseer does NOT HAVE to join them, deploy with them or get anywhere near them unless you want him to.
Warlock squad are NOT ICs and cannot join other units.
Warlocks for other units ARE UNIT UPGRADES, also not IC and cannot leave their units or join others if they are the last man in it.
