What would better in a shooty oriented BT list?

4 Attack Bikes w/MM

Or

4 Typhoon Speeder

Both selections would be run in squads of 2

Imo... MMABs all day... they can contest, are arguably more survivable, can fire overwatch, and are AP1. The HP and contesting changes really hurts Typhoons while the T5 and 3+ on bikes makes them better than in 5th.

Attack Bikes feel much improved now, especially since they are much harder to instant-kill. On the other hand, Land Speeders can now move 12 and fire 2 weapons, which is also a decent boost.

In a normal marines list, I'd definitely give the edge to the Attack Bikes due to the cheaper cost (and other advantages Gornall mentions)... but they are much closer in points for BT. Honestly, in this case, I'd say it depends on what you need - anti-vehicle, or anti-infantry. What does the rest of your army look like?

I think the typhoons are back to the way they used to be, with strength 5 ap 5 twin linked shots.

Back to attack bikes.

Customers ask me what army I play in 40k. Wrong Question. The only army I've never played is orks.

The Connoisseur of Crap.
Knowing is half the battle. But it is only half. Execution...application...performance...now that is the other half.

The Typhoons stats are still the same as they were.

But my list includes; 3 PoTMS Vindis, 4 Las/plas squads, and 3 Terminator Squads w/TH (2 w/cyclones, 1 w/asscans) A marshal, and a Techmarine

Go with Typhoons, in the French and German FAQ they are still Strength 8 ap3. I tried attack bikes out once, they got intercepted by assault marines and died sadly. Typhoons are the best choice tbh.

Black Templars are the best Space Marine Chapter out of all the Space Marines. They are the most fanatical marines out there. They are on an endless, eternal crusade for the god emperor. AND they get in the face of the enemy. Thats the way to get things done.

Why not.. both? Typhoon speeders serve as long range fire support that can move and fire and generally be a nuisance anywhere quickly. However it's mostly going to want to be in your back field, as it can no longer contest. Attack Bikes on the other hand, are more meant to get to their back field and be a nuisance quickly. They are a lot better now that they dont instagib as easily, though losing the 3+ turbo boost cover hurts (though I believe they still get the 4+ jink) a bit. Either way they are meant to slink and hide the first few turns and then zoom where they need to be to start dealing with deathstar/landraiders/contest. They are also pretty good at getting being sacrificed to eat an assault. So Id say 2 speeders and 2 attack bikes.
