Well, I'm starting a full sanguinary guard army and I'm looking for advice how to deal with the sixth edition rules.
I don't have the rulebook yet. But some friends have given me a look at it
It's pitty I can't deepstrike the full army anymore. And how I deal with a terminator army now?
So I hope somebody can give me some tips!

Wait until the smoke clears on what kind of power weapon they have.

If he wants to get started though, id say run them like assault termies, some with swords to hit at Initiative, some with axes for tackling AP2.

There is/was a big thread on YMDC about whether their glaives encarmine are unique power weapons (and hence AP3) or two-handed, master-crafted power axes/swords. Either way, I'd avoid assaulting full units of terminators. Plasma seems a much better way of dealing with them, but ideally you'd have support units which could also handle them at range.

well I have a pure SG army.

I run a very elite (fun army) I got sanguinus and dante.

3x5 SG
plasma pistol
infenus pistol
power fist
3x sword
1x axe

2x libby dreadnouht

so the libby both give the army the 5+ cover power and also take the jump infantry power.

more competitive build would be have more SGuards instead of sanguinus.

not sure what weapons you need since they are so short ranged. close combat take some axe and power fist to deal with termis.

they get a 5+ invul anyway from their MC power weapon.

also take libby dreadnought since it has a force axe which is +1 S ap2 and it also got the dreadnough power fist both these are ar I4 because unweildy does not apply to walkers

sorry for the spelling in a rush to type
