I've realized that the key to 6th ed. is to shoot the piss out of everything. The assault phase is too unreliable to bring anything associated with it. So now I'm trying to see just how much firepower I can pack in my lists.
******************************************************************************************************************************************************
List #1 (Cruising serpents w/ vypers)

Eldrad ...... 210

Farseer ...... 130
Guide, Doom, SS, & RoWit (I don't know if the powers should be exchanged for divination)

2 x 10 Dire Avengers ...... 304
Exarch w/ Dual pults and bladestorm

2 x Wave Serpent ...... 220
TL Shuricannon & Underslung shuricannon

6 Guardian Jetbikes w/ Warlock ...... 205
2 x Shuricannon & Warlock w/ Embolden and Singing Spear

2 x 5 Fire Dragons ...... 160
2 x Wave Serpent ...... 220
TL Shuricannon & Underslung shuricannon

3 x 3 Vypers ...... 540
2 x Shuricannon

Total: 1989

I left a little bit of wiggle room for any changes I might need to make. Basically idea is to run vypers behind waveserpents for cover save and eldrad and farseer will guide until i get close enough to bladestorm. Fire Dragons will either charge forwards or stay with the group and pop out at anything that gets too close.

List #2 (Cruising Serpents w/ Vypers & firebase)

Eldrad ...... 210

2 x Farseer ...... 260
guide, Doom, SS, & RoWit (maybe exchange powers for divination?)

2 x 10 Dire Avengers ...... 304
Exarch w/ Dual Pults & Bladestorm

2 x Wave Serpent ...... 220
TL Shuricannon & Underslung Shuricannon

10 Pathfinders ...... 240

2 x 3 Vypers ...... 360
6 x Shuricannon

3 War Walkers ...... 210
6 x EML

3 War Walkers ...... 180
6 x Scatterlaser

Total: 1984

Eldrad sits with pathfinders and war walkers casting double guide and fortune. Farseers run with the dire avengers guiding the vypers until they are close enough to bladestorm. I don't want to separate the pathfinders because its easier to guide or fortune them this way.

List #3 (Slight modification to list 2)

Eldrad ...... 210

2 x Farseer ...... 150
guide (exchange for Prescience divination primaris power)

3 x 5 Dire Avengers ....... 180
3 x Wave Serpent ...... 330
TL Shuricannon & Underslung Shuricannon

10 Rangers ...... 190

3 x 3 Vypers ...... 540
6 x Shuricannon

3 War Walkers ...... 210
6 x EML

3 War Walkers ....... 180
6 x Scatterlaser

Total: 1990

There's so many combinations with this type of list. I was basically trying to figure out a way to get as many guided shots as possible. This list still has the same idea as list 2 but with no bladestorm so I can keep my distance and shoot moar moar moar moar.
********************************************************************************************

Please let me know which list you think is the best and what changes you would make to any of them. I know its a lot but anything you have to offer will help thanks!

Craftworlds Eldar: 8500
Dark Eldar: 1000
Harlequins: 1000
Raven Guard: 1500
Tyranids: 1500

That's a lot of Warwalkers and Vypers... and a lot firepower for sure.

I'm not sure units of 5 dire avengers are going to be fit to take objectives though, it's also rarely a bad idea to go with at least one unit of fire dragons.

It's a list I would like to see in action though. Thanks.

How will you kill flyers? How will you kill AV 13-14 long range tanks? How will you hold any objectives against a single assault unit that makes it to you (many are fast and you won't kill them)?

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

How are you running 3 HQs? Are you using double-FoC? If so, you're going to run into nastier than this in 2k. I like the lists, but you need Fire Dragons to stop their heavier vehicles in all 3 lists.

Since it appears that you're running double FOC, you need an extra Troops choice. (at double FOC, the minimums are 2 HQ and 4 Troops.) In your second 2 lists, you can easily do it by splitting up the pathfinders.

I would drop the pathfinder upgrade. Yes, it still is good because it gets you the extra point of cover, but I've found that Rangers will do fine without the upgrade.

For Eldar, a fortification is almost required, as we have no other Skyfire, barring a lucky roll on the objective table. I personally like a Bastion with a Quad gun - 125 points, and it's AV14 - which our codex also doesn't have.

Dude Council
1 Farseer w/ Doom, Fortune and Guide on Bike
6 Warlocks w/ Destructor on Bikes
2 Warlocks w/ Embolden on Bikes w/ Singing Spears
2 Warlocks w/ Enhance on Bikes w/ Singing Spears

Yes, this causes much hatred.
