This Is Where the Fish Lives

This is a Rhino I recently completed for a local painting contest in August. A little background: I am new to wargaming and painting in general, having only begun in February of this year. This model is actually my first completed vehicle (I have numerous others at various stages of completion... I get distracted easily). The model also features a fully painted interior that I am hoping to snap a few pictures of tomorrow when my new photo tent comes in the mail. This picture was taken with the model sitting on my desk with two mouse pads turned upside down for a background. I will update this post when I take new (hopefully better) pictures tomorrow when I get home from work. Until then, please enjoy this and feel free to comment, good or bad!

Yes, this is very nice indeed. I like the soft colours that looks more IG than Astartes.
A full army in these colours and quality would sure stand out as something special.

Astra Militarum
Iron Warriors Army: Enyo Company
Enyo (Greek: Ενυώ, English translation: "warlike" in Greek mythology; Roman: Bellona), was an ancient goddess of war, acting as a counterpart and companion to the war god Ares. She is also identified as his sister, and daughter of Zeus and Hera in a role closely resembling that of Eris; with Homer in particular representing the two as the same goddess. As goddess of war, Enyo is responsible for orchestrating the destruction of cities

Indeed. In the fluff, marines of the Raptors are pragmatic and resourceful as a chapter, hence the use of more natural colors and camouflage. They also have a history of fighting along numerous Imperial Guard elements, including the Catachan jungle fighters and Tallaran Desert Raiders.

You have amazing skill for a relatively new painter. It took me years rather than months to get results like this. Very nice work, I like the realistic look to the model and the weathering.

Thank you very much, even is "amazing" is a pretty strong adjective to use!

I also added some new pictures taken the proper way. Enjoy!
