With the new 6th Ed I was hoping to find more people to play with, but sadly I can't seem to find any. I own a table with a friend and even though there's 4 of us they don't want to play for some unknown reason. I don't have a car but I can still get around as long as it's not to far off, I live next to the Blue Line. I've been playing Necrons for over four years now and would really like to have great games so if anyone is interested let me know, I might even bring my table over (since my friends don't play lol) to my house to make the trip easier for others if I must. Just looking to have fun while playing some 40k games on a regular basis.

You should check out Adeptus Windy City.

http://www.adeptuswindycity.com

I've been trying to establish a regular group of 40k gamers within the city limits. I know of regular groups who meet in Homewood, Naperville, and Mt. Prospect but not so much in the city.

There's really only one game store in Chicago currently for 40k. Chicagoland games (Dice Dojo.) It's kinda far from Oak Park but it's located a very short walk away from the Bryn Mawr Red Line.

Wow, I didn't know about Dice Dojo. Thank you very much I will check that place out tomorrow since it looks like they're open until late hours, sounds like my kind of place Looks like Sundays are their Warhammer days, do you go there for gaming yourself?

I just recently started going. I don't yet know how active 40k is there (Warmachine and Flames of War are very active) but I know at least 2 other guys who are getting back into 40k and have started playing there.

Indeed, I just went there yesterday and saw nothing but Warmachine and Flames of War being played. They did have a nice section for 40k thought and I did find out that they have the 40k people come in on Saturdays, so I might head back there tomorrow and check it out.

I just recently heard about that store too! I don't drive and I've been looking for people in the city to play with and it's been kinda hard since the GW store is kinda down south. I just started getting into painting and was going to start playing in Carol Stream with some friends but then I moved into the city.

I've not played yet as I've just been painting my orks for what seems like foreverrrrr but I want to learn and it'd be nice to know if there was a decent group of people playing at that store.

Let us know what you find out!

Also, I've heard about http://www.galacticforcetoys.com/ if you want to check them out as well. They seem to have a Warhammer 40k Wargamer group that plays there.

If anyone is interested they're having an open game day on Saturday the 11th for 40K over at Dice Dojo. They will be teaching the new rules and having a few games, I might be there as well, I'm looking for more of a serious game but I won't mind playing some beginners game to show people the ropes.

Don't know if I can make that but it sounds cool enough. It's also a change to gauge how many people are there for 40k heh.

I've been talking to some people on facebook on the Dojo Warhammer 40k group and there's some people willing to play so we just need to spread the word

I'm in Rogers Park (very close to Dice Dojo). I would love to get some games going, but my schedule is really wonky - I could only play during the week and don't usually get home until 7:30 or so. The only thing I can think of to off-set these two (big) problems is that I have a quiet apartment and could maybe split a game up and leave it between turns.

If any one is interested, PM me. I'd love to get something consistent going.
