Well they can lose the dwarf part of the name cos those bad boys are huge!

Wdyt to them? I'm not so sure, probably because of the bovine bit. Yeah, I know, 'bull' centaur kinda gives it a reason to have bull features, I guess I just think they could have made the torso a little better somehow, maybe a bit more textured.

From this angle, as a biped, it looks cool as hell, but add the stumpy back end and it just looks a little freakish to me

Definitely that empire peasants last chance as well.

I know a few people who will finally run Minotaurs in their BM lists thanks to those...

I've worked with bulls and yeah you tend to think bulls look blocky and honestly silly from the back but when they turn around

Torso = not bad, fairly cool.
Hind quarters = dreadful. Absolutely dreadful. Lumpy, undefined, stiff, unnatural. Sadly unimpressed

Yeah, it's odd, because the mockups we saw at Games Day or Open Day or whatever had me really psyched. Maybe this is more of the paint job? Because the back end didn't look so... Happy-Meal-Toy when we first saw them.

I think the paint job is making them look more lumpy and unnatural.

That said, if I was still of a mind to keep with my Warhammer Beastmen, these would be a perfect replacement for that idiotic Razorgor they tried to foist on us. Sadly it's too little too late and my evil little goat boys will probably just end up an aborted project collecting dust in a closet.

Other than maybe a crappy paint job, the back of that bull looks like most bulls I have seen.

And I have seen a lot of bull...

I can buy 30 (Yes, 30!) of them from Mantic for almost the same price of 3 of those.

Plus, the head and the rear end of the sculpts could be better IMO.

Get a bunch of crappy models or a few good ones - the eternal dillema of any wargamer.

As a long time Chaos Warriors player I think they look ok but my hang up is the fact they are bigger than the current line of Dragon Ogres! Now how does that make sense?

Because the Dragon Ogres are really, really old models desperately in need of a re-do?

I think some rumors have them getting redone with the next iteration of the WoC book for WFB.

I might be on my own here but I really like them, I've been wondering when the bull centaurs would get some forge world attention, and I'm not disappointed.

I'd buy quite a few of these... if GW would FINALLY "officially" let the Chaos Dwarfs back into the WFB playground!

Bulls don'y have knees in their back legs though do they. They're pretty stiff. As for undefined, well I suppose they could be more defined but they'd look less natural. As for lumpy idk wtf this means.

Not a huge fan myself but they're not bad. I'd say they're of average quality and too pricey as well.

BTW, those of you complaining about the look of the bull sections of these bull centaurs (as opposed to the upper torsos) - do an image search for "bull", and take a look at the animals on show. What exactly is wrong with these FW sculpts compared to the source material?

Honestly I love most of the Khaos Dwarf stuff from FW but these are just awefull. Now the paint job could be the lending factor to that but these are not on par with the other KD stuff. Total side note has anyone seen a subsidising in the quality of the products they recieve from FW lately? I have noticed a lot of my purchases comming in with tons of blatant air bubbles and malformations. Could be just unlucky but curious all the same.

Damn these look really bad. The back end bull body is just awful, like something you would buy at k-mart.

I love 'em. Not sure I ~$86 USD love 'em, but they're pretty great.

I'd like to see the Chaos Dwarf Boar Centaurs make a return. Preferably with their old-school war machines. I've still got at least one of them around somewhere, painted back in the day. The Whirlwind, I think it was called? I vaguely remember having the Tenderiser as well, but NFI what happened to that one.

Just checked out the Mantic ones. They're really a bit hard to give a proper judgement on, since the pics are too small and the paint isn't particularly good. I mostly like these GW ones, but not too keen on the Horns. The price put them out of the "maybe pick them up just to paint" category, anyway.
