I might have missed it in the FAQ, but is a Farseer with Spirit Stones mastery level 1 or 2? The FAQ says his base mastery level is 1, but Spirit Stones allow the use of an additional power per turn (which would require Warp Charges).

From what I'm reading the spirit stone allows you to cast an additional power per turn as long as its not the same one.

so essentially the stone is a saved warp charge and power.

nothing in the FAQ says you cannot use the stone to cast an additional power (as if it had a warp charge to begin with)

Read the mastery level entry in the BRB. To sum up, any upgrade that let's you cast another power increases you mastery level. Spirit stones do this as well as chaos MoT.

Also, if you look at Eldrad, the faq specifies that his mastery level 3 includes the bonus for ss.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
