Ive recently added some FW hellhounds to my collection and would like to field an army that can put alot of tread on the table.  Which list would you rather not face:

They are both interesting, if static.  List one will just sit & shoot.  It really needs improved comms though for reserves (reroll for that 5 squad plt)  if you drop I squad and the griffon you can easily afford 2 leeman russes and probably should for the pie plates.  I'd also keep more of the str 6 multilasers on the chimeras over heavy bolters.  Iw ould put the hvy stubbers on the squad chimeras -- if your opponent has 2 targets to choose from and one has a stubber extra, he will shoot it by preference:  scratch one cmd squad.

 

List 2 with demolishers instead of russes and maybe another exterminator could have a hoot driving about the table killing things.  For sheer fun I would do this by prefernce over the static shooty chimera wall.

The Armoured Company list is kind've a mess. It has lots of AV12 and AV14, giving your opponent all sorts of targets to shoot at. With AC take all AV12 or all AV14. Don't intentionally weaken your army.

The MechInf on the other hand I like quite a bit. Good to see a Griffon in there. My only suggestion is drop the 2 Plasmas in the Platoon Command Section and take Improved Comms on the Griffon.

A question rather than a comment. Didn't they drop the AF platoons from the AC list? I thought you could only take AF as an FA choice in the updated AC list...

I'd love to be shown that I am wrong on this because I liked their first w/ the AF PLT's better. A reference would be great too.

Is there IA 1 list different?

 

Wouldn't some Tanith vets with triple plasma be a good buy in an AC army? Pretty good anti-terminator bomb.

Also, a squad of horse-mounted guided anti-assault missiles might be a cool investment with lots of modeling opportunities (rough riders).

The Imperial Armour list from Forge World allows for Armoured Fist Squads to be taken as troops. How useful this is - who knows. Im not sure if league play or tournie play allows for IA lists or entries to used. Im not even sure if I can use the little pieces of FW in the Mech Infantry list - griffon, AC and HB turrets for the Chimerae.
