Not sure if this has been answered, but how compatible are the DotBR compatible with GW parts? I am sure many of us want to field them in tourneys with the 50% rule satisfied.

TEST PRINTS

"We built up some 3D printed test models for the Cyhounds. These are not the final product. Using these test prints we will make adjustments to the details, design, and fit of the parts to ensure the end result is as good as possible."


"We also build up some test infantry models. The middle figure in the images below is made up of the standard renaissance parts, while the others use 3D printed test parts.
Both new models also wield the Phase Arquebus, which is a great alternative option if you want energy weapons for your theme!"


"In all these photos the model on the left uses Robed legs, Robed Torso, Sci-Fi helmet (WIP), Phase Arquebus and a Void power plant based on our popular gothic void regiments torso.
The model on the right uses the Tabard Legs, WIP Sci-Fi helmet, Torso and power plant, and also has shoulder pads fitted, which changes the profile of the model quite a lot!
We will be previewing more styles of shoulder pad soon, there will be at least 3 options in the Pledge manager."

I feel like the cyber dogs heads are a little on the small side, that assassin looks great though!

I really like the assassin myself. Awesome design.

So, the shipping costs have been floated and sadly that means I am out. Best of luck Anvil, I hope to pick some stuff up later on!

• Rest of the World : £10-15 depending on your location.
This is higher than our current typical shipping charges because we will be sending everything using a fully tracked service which is faster and more reliable than our existing standard shipping options. We think its well worth the extra price, and will be moving our main website over to the same shipping system in the near future.
If you are in for £1 and want just one or two figures, we may be able to arrange a lower cost non tracked shipping option, or combine your pledge items with a regular order form our store to save postage costs.

I mean, OK, but why? That actually seems cheap for international shipping right now. EDIT: For contrast, when I was looking at some OOP Star Wars models recently on sale in the USA, USPS First Class(tracked) International to the UK was almost 30 quid.

Well I was just in for a small pledge and Anvil offer free shipping for over 40GBP through their website.
The free shipping works out a lot better than the discount from the kickstarter so as this has most definitely funded my small pledge wont be missed and I can pick them up later.

Unless someone in NZ wants to go splits? Send me a PM if so!

I'll have some great new images later - the Cyblade Assassin in resin is one of the nicest models we have ever produced I think, and a 3D test print of the first Gladiator!

@Mr Morden - we will be doing another pass on the dogs to get some slightly angrier looking head options, which might improve things.

@Ingtaer - That's understandable. We are going to try and offer a lower cost option for pledges less than £40, but I cannot guarantee it at the moment and do not want to promise something we then can't deliver.

We will be moving our entire website over to the new system, so by the time the KS starts to fulfill, the free shipping threshold will still exist but will likely be higher than the current £40.

We are hoping with a higher volume of tracked parcels, we should be able to get our standard global tracked shipping cost, including to NZ, below £10.

We have had increasing issues with parcels going missing or taking a long time to arrive, so fully tracking things will improve customers experience.

Good to hear Anvil! Please add to an update if you manage to work it. Those melee options are looking really good.

Ah, excellent. Thank you. I figured those Gladiator legs would look good with those parts. There's something about the asymmetry and the lighter armor that goes well with the heavier upper body armor.

That Assassin has more than likely become a must buy on my pledge.

So tempting, but I think I'm in the "too shallow of a discount to pre order" camp.... but I'm also weak willed with miniatures this nice.

Wish I had more free money this month, I think I'd definitely be on board! Just going to have to suck it down and wait till after the KS is over though :(

Been trying to figure out what's niggling at me with the cyhounds, I think it's a combination of the lower jaw and the chest/forelimbs that put me in the mind of some kind of fluffy doom-schnauzer. Maybe if the chest armour was downplayed and the shoulders rejigged it'd look meaner?

It’s still a discount, which will not be available at retail. Anvil is established enough, I would not worry about non delivery -I have backed two of their kickstarters previously, and was not disappointed!

The gothic battle nuns in space are looking really excellent! Maybe this has already been mentioned before Joel but are there any plans to do variant DotBR heads wearing some form of nun's cornette and coif? Much akin to GWs Sister Hospitaller but made by Anvil, so ya know, better?!

The project is still going strongly, but as things stand at the moment we are not going to be unlocking any "major project" stretch goals.

The upside of this is that it means delivery of the project will be sped up, and those of you who prefer to wait for retail and to see the exact finished models will be able to get them sooner than would otherwise have been the case!

@Viking Child - The issue with a head like that is that its tricky to get it to work as a separate component.

I don't think we will do a full sprue, but I will see if its feasible to sneak a head like that onto one of the upgrade sprues.

On phone, so I can't link, but I am drooling over the Castellan render in today's update. Amazing model, may have to get 2!

Those new updates are interesting. A robot surgeon? I don't think we've seen that one yet. The new jetpacks look good, too. I'm still hoping those Gladiator bits get unlocked before this finishes.

Any chance of seeing helmets like the one the flamethrower trooper is wearing in the artwork? It looks kind of like the sci-fi one, but the forehead plate looks like it sweeps back over the top of the helmet and appears to have a horn or something on the forehead (not unlike a Zeon commander's horn).

I'm particularly looking forward to seeing the render of the jester assassin. Lovely concept art.

Also hoping to see the Gladiators unlocked!

Hi Anvils Hammer, what kind of base will be supplied with the flying models ?
I've alway wanted winged jetpack for my seraphims so I'm really tempted to get yours (despite having finally gave up on that idea last month and made an order for another style of jetpacks ).

The project is picking up strongly, which is great, we have almost unlocked the Gladiators.

@Sockwithaticket - thanks for putting up the renders!

We will have more rnders before the end of the project, including the Masquerade Assassin, Death and the Arch Angel.

@Samko - At the moment the plan is to supply 25mm round bases (with no slot) with all the regular models, and some slightly larger ones for certain character models.

We are going to look at options for the flying models, but its not certain at this stage we can realistically send them with any base other than the standard ones.

Looks like we reached the Gladiators! Now I'll be able to do a squad of scrappy vets!

@Anvils Hammer - Thanks for your answer.


Is there any company that sells flying bases like those of the Inceptors ? (should I ask this question somewhere else ?)

I hope they did well. They're nice sculpts, though the basic infantry don't move me as much as the characters.
