I've thought about making a list like this for a while. I wanted to avoid the 1/3 of games where you get screwed by getting the non preferred wave, so I made two waves as close to equal as I could. I could have dropped The Masque and the Scribes, but they're in the list to give me a Pavane in each wave.

I also usually run Fateweaver and wanted to try a list without him.

I still have 32 points left. It's still a work in progress, but I'd consider dropping the princes for Soulgrinders, but I only have one right now and don't feel like buying another at the moment.

Lose Iron Hide on the princes, and I thnk your costs ae off on the heralds - I have them clocking in with 60 points of upgrades.

I think your troops are too fragile at this point - at 2k you are going to get blown off the board before you can do anything. Also, I like Screamers in 6-9 groups a bit more.

I would eliminate a herald of Tzeetch, since there is nowhere to put the second one, to make this all happen.

Ugh. You're falling to a common trap of new daemon players, and doing the 50/50 split. It seems like a good idea, but what you end up doing is having a suboptimal half of your army facing 100% of your opponent's army, and your army has a good chance of getting crippled against a decent opponent.

What you want to do instead is design your army so that its got essentially two parts. The first part is going to be your primary. This is going to include some core units that you want to have drop as part of your primary, and who's purpose is to take the battle to your opponent as quickly as possible. In other words, hitting power should be your primary concern.

The other half should be structured not so much for hitting power, but for survival. The point of that half is to buy time. You want that half to be able to drop, and survive enemy attention until your primary hitters come in.

You can also design it so that some of the units are "floaters" moving between the primary and secondary halves depending on your opponent, but it's not strictly necessary.

Hmm, I'll check the costs when I get home. I'm using an app on my phone to build the list, I had found a few other errors, but I haven't checked the heralds yet.

The Heralds are 110 points I believe, as I run exactly the same setup.
