Hey all, I was just wondering how old are the casts for the Eldar Pheonix Lords? Any vets remember which year they first came out?
Thanks in advance

Ooh, theyre properly ancient!
Can't be too precise, but remember playing using the models in my A level days, so that would be about 95, perhaps a year or so either side

Woah, a couple of them have that look of yester-decade about them, though I didn't think Maugan Ra was that old

The Phoenix Lords have really stood the test of time. Probably some of the best models they produced back in the day.

The Phoenix Lords (Jain Zar specifically) were the first models that caught my eye and got me interested in 40k, ironically I've never owned a single Eldar model.

The Phoenix Lords are all from 1994; they were launched to accompany Codex: Eldar for 2nd ed. They're not the oldest sculpts still in circulation by a good way, however. Ragnar, Ulrik and Njal all date from about 1992, having been released in the last year of Rogue Trader, and a few of the Eldar Warlock sculpts are still Jes Goodwin's originals from 1990.
