I missed your last post, sorry. Good to hear things are looking up. I've not been too diligent in keeping up with the P&M blogs either, so you're not alone. Lots of other distractions for me nowadays. A pair of four legged distractions most of the time. I know you have cats, but how about a cute dog photo to brighten the day?
Spoiler:

This is Roscoe, my Jack Russell Terrier. He hunts gray squirrels. He's really good at it. He is also a massive time sponge, but in a good way.

You have made so much amazing stuff over the years Cam. Do you ever go back through your blog or gallery to be reminded of how much you have accomplished? I like to reminisce in my own gallery that way. I can't believe that amazing Necromunda tower block you made is already 50 pages ago (and close to 3 years).

Not where I should be

Well guys I am still alive. Lot of work which is taking me much longer to do, than it should. Lots of changes happening. Now most other folk are sorted I can look at mine. First job is new cupboards, and a fancy dream or two.

Back soon.

Glad to see you back, and not just as a glimpse in Gitz' thread.

Looks fantastic Cam. That'll make an amazing hobby table! (hint, hint)

Not where I should be

Thank you folks.

These cupboards are for my modelling area, but mainly for storage and tools. I will be making at least one more cupboard, and an assembly/gaming table. Everything will be on wheels for flexibility. Main point is that the room I work in (the lounge/living room.) is getting a new carpet and a new sofa. Means I have to move out. So taking the opportunity to sort myself out properly.

This is the just about finished unit, got to do a bit of trim work, but that can wait got to get out first.

And here it is as it will be, in the future. The two wooden tool boxes on top are purchased, though I am going to use them to engineer my own, these are excellent, small drawers mean I can sort things out.

There is another large tower wooden tool box behind to the left, this will be for painting/basing materials and brushes/tools. These tool boxes are all amazing. But they all have simple wooden runners. Might upgrade in the future. My build has ball bearing runners, giving smooth running and a heavy capacity. The smaller drawer are approx. 600mm x 400mm and 100mm deep, made of 12mm ply. The slightly larger drawers are 150mm deep. These should give enough for some of the tooling and any materials that are able to fit. The large compartment bottom left I have put a door on. Going to store most of my liquids in there, with metal trays to catch any leaks. The next cupboard will be purpose built to hold and work with all the gadgets. I will have some wonderful things to show you all. But for now got to get cleared out, which is going to involve thinning down some of the horde. Not the greatest update, but more soon, any questions or critique is happily accepted.

This is impressive storage, I'm slightly alarmed by you "thinning the horde" though !

With you moving out of the living room, will you have a hobby space? This furniture you are building and converting looks really nice. If you keep this up you will have the classiest looking gaming/hobby area.

We have tool boxes like those on this side of the pond; we call them Gerstner Tool Chests, I imagine after a manufacturer of same. They are amazing and very neat for sorting and storing things.

More so amazing that you reckon to build your own- and with improvements over the base design even! Well done and good luck.

Mobile everything is a great concept; if/when I get to play again I would like to have a mobile, foldable table that can be reconfigured for whatever the theme is that evening.

Rock on!

Tool boxes are cool. Reminds me of what I made at the end of my time as an apprentice (my trade has a very old tradition that the final task as an apprentice before being able to become a Journeyman Tradesman is to make you tool box that will last you your entire career).

graven... I can always count on you for a good Blade Runner reference, even if you were totally wrong about Deckard being a replicant. (silly idea)

I figured once that the perfect modeling/hobby space should be 1/3 Mad Scientist Lab, 1/3 library card catalog, 1/3 foundry/industrial footprint, 25% bullpen, 16.35% shrine and half Romper Room playpen.

I'd say you got it about right.

Welcome back, been too long. Rock on.
