I am considering converting my ork army into feral orks. I just have need to know if this list will work out. it has 170 models in it.

HQ:

  Warboss on Cybor: Power claw, slugga, shiny bits, bosspole, iron gob.

retniue of 6 Nobs on cybors: shiny bits , sluggas, choppas

2 pigdoks on boars: big shootas and choppas.

 

Troops:

  Two units of 30 grechin. Slaver has slugga and choppa.

Four units of 20 madboys. Each also has a pigdok. Choppas, sluggas and three styboys.

 

Heavy support:

two large squigoths with two kannons each.

One massive squigoth with three twin-linked big shootas and 12 boys with shootas.

 

my basic strategy is to use the grots as cover to the squigoths while the wall of madboys (doped up by the pigdoks) advance. The Warboss is a fast-response unit to handle deep strikers and to provide back-up.

Drop the shootas on the Massive squiggoth.

Upgrade the other two to Squiggoths to massive. All 3 Squiggoths get Kannons or at the very least TL Rokkit Launchas.

Give a rokkit or big shoota to the pig doks in the madboyz mobs.

The retinue is pricey, I'd consider having the boss slog it. Also probably a much better idea to give him a Burna instead of a PK and if you're keeping the Nobs and retinue, at least some of them get Burnas as well. Give them flash furs to make them Waaagh on the charge. I8 S5 Power Weapon attacks on the charge from the boss = LOVE.

You have enough boyz to take care of marines and light troops so get those rokkits and kannons in there for the harder things.
I like Nobz but retinues are very expensive. Not sure on the points you are spending but it does give your opponent a juicy target. Yes it will by heat off the rest of the army for a turn or 2 but at what price. It may be better spent elsewhere, I just don't know where.
