hey I'm about 2 months new to 40k tabletop although iv been a fan of the dawn of war series for a while now so I'm not 100% new to 40k. here are some finished models form my first army along with some other models i just figured id try to paint so let me know what you think. also i painted a few of my guard with a more stylized look which doesn't look as realistic but i think will look good on the table so let me know what you think of that as well.

Hey there, welcome to 40K tabletop...and for first timer models they're nice! Nice solid and clean colors on your troops, nice touches on the vehicles (burn marks on the weapons, etc.). Not many new entrants even try weathering on their vehicles so kudos! Do you plan on basing your figs?

Great work especially for a new painter! Some advice if you choose to do it, red looks very nice when highlighted with orange, you can try that on the Carnifex and I personally feel that the drybrush highlights on the vehicles might be a little too harsh, I tend to mix an olive green color with the off-white bone color to make a more subtle effect.

Nice is an understatement.

I honestly don't believe you saying that this is your first time, have you ever painted before? It seems as though you've done something similar in the past. Trains perhaps?

this is my first miniature army but when i was younger i was into painting on 2 dimensions lol so iv got a pretty steady hand and most of my techniques have simply come from looking at well painted models and figuring out how to get a similar effect plus i had a general idea on things like washes dry brushing etc.

looks good like your tanks, but one thing i noticed was that backplate for the excutercannon is black when it looks to me that it should be green, like the rest of the gunnery backplate

Experience with other models? My gawd, those look awesome for being new to 40k.
I really like the extreme highlights in the first picture. Do you have the time to do that level on everything? I find that most painters have two modes (at least I do): to the highest level and to a table level. My table level is pretty good (if I do say so myself) and your other guys seem to be your table level (which is pretty good if I do say so myself!). I think that extreme highlighting style might be just too much work for your average trooper.
I like it!

Your paint jobs are rock solid, but you've gotta do something with their bases! A mini just isn't finished til its been based.
