Excellent stuff as always great use of the Maulerfiend kit in there.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. I hope you'll take this as the complement it's intended as, but you've got a warped mind, man. You come up with some messed up gak.

Oh and congrats on making this terrifying monstrosity. Did you intentionally make it look like a piranha with wings or was that just a happy accident?

The demon-armiger is fantastic though. Those two kits meshed amazing well.

Syro - The main one I had was based on tubes, but half the fun is finding new challenges, as both entrant and host

kestral - Thanks man! A rotten, pox-ridden version would work really well I think.

Theo - Glad you approve

Llama - Many thanks. There's a lot of interesting bits in that kit.

graven - I had some ideas for a bike with a slug instead of a wheel, but actual caterpillar tracks is an excellent concept. (And apologies, not put together a package for you yet....hopefully I'll get it out next weekend)and

CK - Thanks so much, glad I'm hitting the right spots.

genom - Good to hear, thanks.

Doc - Merci!

Shrub - I definitely take that as a compliment

Well that was my first impression, but I was thinking it was too squat at first, and had the head piece the other way, as seen in the previous post. But when I decided to switch out the fans for wings, a flying plague piranha seemed a sensible choice

So lots of little bits played with but not much to show this week I'm afraid. Just a little progress on the big drone....

Been building up the tentacle bag too, as I need a few for dangling down under this one.

And as inmygravenimage put out a little knight/night themed comp ( https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/763977.page#10155400 ) to celebrate 300 pages of fun, I started putting together a little something. I had considered a bat-ork or a bat-marine, but was really thinking a bat-gretchin would make for a fun little diorama. But as I was looking through all my metal snotlings I had a brain wave, who was more likely to read comics and get into cosplay in the 40k universe (or my twisted little corner of it anyway) ?

Obviously it would be those playful little nurglings

I have plans for Two-face, Penquin, and Robin to join these two on the rotten streets of Gotham. Maybe a little bat-go-kart too.....

And don't forget about saving the packaging from your sweet treats for the latest League terrain comp.....( https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/763930.page#10154516 )

Cheers CK

Quick one whilst I play with some other bits....

Kid_Kyoto was making some BFG ships out of star destroyers a while back and mentioned that you could probably use the hulls to sandwich a thicker style of ship. That sounded interesting and the kit was cheap so I ordered one. However when I opened it I immediately thought of something different, and went off to order more of that one (Bandai 001) and another star destroyer kit (Revell).

Still waiting for the Bandai, which is slightly smaller, but did get my 3 Revell kits, so started in on The Hierarchs, some kind of warp entity/daemon....Still thinking the fluff out.

Not decided yet on whether the second one will get tentacles like the first coming out of the upper space, or more of the internal structure as in the lower gap.

You could always have the tentacles coming out from underneath the base instead of out of a hatch. Would make it look more like a sea creatures shell than a summoning device.

Lovely idea! And I vote for more tentacles coming out! It almost gave me a hermit crab feel, with the pyramid merely being a shell to lure in the unwary.

Nice ideas. Look good.

You could even go full snail and have a nurgle-y blob dragging one of them about as it's personal home.

Theo - For now I'm trying to avoid tentacles from underneath, the idea is these will be floating off the floor, and in my mind the base is 'fairly' featureless. Which is not to say I won't give in to temptation and have a couple peeking out from at least one.....

K_K - Would make for some cool heavy ships I think. The tricky part may be the engines, that's an awkward shape to fill, requiring 6 triangles in the present configuration. If you had three of the kit engine sections (obviously you only need 2 destroyers for this shape) they still fit in, then you have 3 triangles required to fill the gap.

Cain - Many thanks, drones that incorporate biological entities should be a bit creepy at least I feel

Oh I doubt I was the first, they'd been out a few days before I chopped mine

Snrub - What are things for, if not for turning into other things?

Kernel - Thank you!

graven - gribbly nonsense all over the shop......

CK - Thanks, I'm confident there will be more tentacles involved somewhere....

Dr H - Cheers! All blobs are secretly desiring pyamidical shells for their safety and comfort.

No pics, but the hatch in question is getting a mix of tentacles and 'innards' as in the lower space....Which I guess points to the inside just being chock full of tentacles, most of which slither around inside, with occasional forays I to the surrounding area.

Now have two more under construction, with several of the smaller Bandai on their way to enable the creation of 4 of those two. Playing with several ideas, my current thinking is these initial 4 will be their own thing, with the smaller 4 each having a slight connection to the four 40k chaos gods. And as others have suggested, there's always possibilities for snails, crabs, cephalopods and assorted walkers based off the idea.

In the meantime I figured I should do something with those Conquest Primaris marines....something other than Primaris marines obviously....

graven - Merci mon ami. Trying to decide if I want 7 with polearms, or a mix. Probably end up with a mix which will split into two squads at some indeterminate point .....

Cain - It's actually his Apple skull X that he's dropped. Don't think he bothered with insurance either.......

Cam - Cheers bud! They would make an interesting drop-pod.....hmm, more fodder for the list

Filling the Heirarchs with tentacles...

No. 2
Still haven't quite decided on what will become of the two spheres yet

No. 3
Haven't figured out what else will define the main face apart from some slight differences in the hole

No. 4
This one will be an eye.....but it may get swapped for a smaller one, surrounded by........tentacles

And whilst I was playing with tentacles I figured I should add the bottom set to the big drone

All the additions to your chaos ships are looking good. I was going to suggest giant eyes for the spheres, but saw you are already doing that for some of the other spheres. In the picture, some of the spheres looking shiny silver and reflective, if they are like that you may want to keep some looking like that as the final.
