If you have the models BA can kick butt in Apoc, all the standard formations carry over to whichever codex you're using.

When you guys play it is wysiwyg or do you allow proxies (within reason ie I have an assault squad with jp that I sometimes run without jp)

Yeah as long as it's reasonable no problem. I run 2 Baal predators as Hydras ( until my basilisks are fully stripped and converted)

I hope everyone's holidays were great and filled with food, family, boooze and merriment. I finaly got my brother down to HSG, he watched us play a game and started his own nids, so it was a very productive holiday season.

Is anyone planning on going to the tourney at HSG on the 14th or the 1000 point tourney at GW yonge/lawrence on the 28th?

I wish I could go to the tournies, but unfortunately I dont have the time on the weekends to participate in tournaments.

On another topic, I have a question for you all:

would you care facing off against an army made from scratch (plasticard, greenstuff, etc) to fit a certain theme? For example, I am currently working on plans to use Tau, when they get updated, as a human allied world to the Tau that have reverse engineered their technology into a steampunk esque style. for Example, taking a Tau Broadside, and replicating its 'sillouette' but making it look completely different from the original.

What Tourney? is there a link? I am interested in both. So I'll see you on the 14th.

Back in town and looking to game, HSG on saturday or sunday?

The tourney is at the GW on yonge, just north of lawrence. What I was told was that it was $10, 1000 point and on the 28th (I think). There are 14 spots, reserved ahead of time at the store and it's the first in a series of escalating point value tournies over the next 4 months. He said that all the details are on their facebook page and to tell anyone who was inerested to check there or in the store.

I'll probably stop in there somtimg this weekend to sign up, if my schedule is clear and the wife takes the chain of my leg.

I'm free this sunday if anyone is looking for a game.

It's that time again, one week away from the next HSG tourney. Are people planning on comming down again for an epic, sprawling brawl?

Ahh ya sorry about that i got called into work about 1/2 hour before i was going to head down to HSG so it was very last minute. As for the tournie i won't know till later in the week if i'll be able to go or not.

I cant make weekends, but Im always up for games during the week

I'd love to get some games in during the week, but I'm working in muskoka during the week, and my wife is having shoulder surgery at the moment, so even though I'm in town for a bit I'm unable to get out for long enough to get a game in except on weekends. :/

Hello and welcome to the hobby, always good to see new players in the area, i enjoy playing at HSG as well. I wouldn't worry to much about playing your army at HSG, the player base there is pretty relaxed, knowledgeable, and patient about new players and the game in general. If you want to get in some beginner games let me know and i'll be more than willing to get in some games with you. Best way to set up a game is post the day and time you want to meet (preferably a couple days to a week before) and say how many points your going to bring and see if anyone is interested or free. We also tend to meet sunday afternoons at 12 because that is HSG free gaming time.
