Thanks! Yeah, we've done loads of AdMech commissions and everyone wants the mars look (understandably, it fits them perfectly) so we've gotten a lot of practice.

I can see why it’s popular! Looks like a thin layer of really watered down (glued down?) sand or that new semisolid basing stuff GW came out with. Very compact and clean.

Yeah, lots of layering for that up to near white to get that feeling of extreme heat. Really came out amazingly. The artist did a great job.
