Looking forward to seeing the contrast over that highlighted sister, interesting to see the effect you get. Having said that, it's almost a shame to paint over the white, it's looking pretty good as is and would make a great black and white piece

Yorkright, while it is highly improbable that I will have an army, I do really want a "classic" Sister squad (6-10 models, Sister Superior, flamer/meltagun, heavy bolter) to stand on the shelf with the rest of my Imperials.

I like the way this sister is shaping up, though the shade seems to be pooling up a bit on her arms (?).

Edit: blast, ninja'd! Really nice black, highlights the edges without going overboard.

Nicely done . Like the prayer beads and her face really does draw attention in the composition.

She is a work of art, please do a small unit of the Sisters for this Canoness to lead they would look outstanding. Are you sure you dont play 40K? Cause I would love to see some pics of your stuff on the table top.

Nice work on the sister. Though I like the black, I’m gutted you changed from the white. How’d get to the black? I’m guessing a series of washes to take benefit from the shaded and highlighted whites?

The gunmetal black on the combi-melta is very realistic too, as is the heat damage on the meltan muzzle

Yorkright, the last time I played 40K was probably 4 years ago or so. We played 3rd edition. I will play it again, I am sure, just not sure when. Miniature games are tough for my group. Space and time considerations.

Gobert, the black is a single coat of a roughly 50/50 mix of Black Templar and Leviadon Blue contrast paints over the shaded white.

Base for the griffon is taking a minute. Maybe finish it tonight, pics soon after. Meanwhile, added a small, yet significant piece to the knight. Really need to get this guy finished.
