Cool group of tentacles coming together there. Purple is a great start, on these it might work with a very cool blue contrast. Excited to see this develop!

Scandalous!!!

I like the tone of purple you settled on, it's totally one you might expect to find on a deep see critter!

My painting log is full of snakes

It's a very friendly purple, after all. Well done.

Thanks everyone!

I've been having a rough couple of months with severe insomnia, but hopefully things are on the way back up now. I'm fully vaccinated, so that's fun!

I haven't done much hobbywise but I did paint up another one of these fellows

I'm still tired, so that's it!

Congraccinations, best of luck with insomnia, I know that's a rough one.

Really like the griff-man although it begs the question of if you spot a griffon head in the wild is it just another bird head? Answer: no, because griffon's got n e c k .

Hey turtles, super cool dwarf brain sucker sludge mans. Love the beastgryn too. Must be a cool looking bunch all together now!

Sleep deprivation is an absolute milhouse of a thing. It affects absolutely everything in your day and the moment you get it you start worrying about it and the worry leads to less sleep and then youre lying awake at 4am with work in 3 hours beating yourself up for not being asleep but the only reason you've been awake for the last 3 hours is because of all the negative energy you've been directing at yourself...and then your back and neck are all flavours of forked up from your tossing and turning and stressing and no relaxing and just when you feel tired enough to drop off you realise your spine is a pretzel and you're in awful pain.

Hope you can get back on track soon. Magnesium has helped me in the past. Alcohol too of course but that comes with its own complications. Yoga is lovely as well, I often find the best quality sleep I get in a week is in the last 5 minutes of savasana pose during Tuesday yoga.

Thanks! They're a little better now. and knowing that i might be able to have a more normal life in a week or so is helping.

It was pretty tough but i got through it!

Thanks, also is that a reference to something? I never get references. it is my talent!

I'm glad you like the color choices! I'm pretty happy with them too.

Thanks, and yeah, lack of sleep sucks. And that's all very familiar to me. Worry that spirals into more worry and lack of sleep from the worry.... I can't drink, but I've never tried yoga. I'll try anything, really. I do like some of the calming teas, but they can interfere with sleep in other ways...

Ah well, we're not here just to talk about sleep, we're here for mutants and aliens! At least that's why i'm here. So here's another silly little kitbash!

Thanks! I've aquired... a lot of various bits over the years. Possibly too many. But it's worth it.

This is a quasi update, I've been trying to get organized, and I think i've managed to get together the various mutants and aliens I've created. Most of them were posted here before, but not all of 'em.

I need to get some more painting in, but there's more of them than i expected!

A nicely varied bunch of muties, getting them all painted up will keep you busy and give you a great looking bunch of minis

Very cool group shot and a very distinctive force! And a lot of color already on them, really nice to see those bright splashes on the pic.

Thanks! I wish I could say I was keeping busy painting them right now, but as you will soon see, I got distracted again.

Thank you too! I wonder what I could actually use them as?

Well, I said this was the year of the mutant, but I did end up making another one of these:

Remember when i was working on a band of these wintery guardsmen? I'm pretty happy with how she turned out, honestly. And she has a pet cat, because that is my way.

I need to watch the mandolorian, don't I?

It's from the kings of war clansmen! I'm not anywhere near talented enough to sculpt a head like that myself. At least not yet!

Back to kitbashed mutants for a moment! I am forever happy that i got a bunch of these lizardmen bodies in a trade, i've made... a lot of things with the. This guy has a bug for head!

Sorry, I’ve been waiting to use the “I have spoken” quote for ages, but you should definitely watch the Mandalorian. You could get through it all within 1months subscription if you try.

The bug head lizard is a neat addition to the muties too

Guardwoman and her little kitty are very cool, nice to see a new addition to that force! And as others have said, buglizard looks nice and gribbly.

And regarding using all those mutants, have a look at the Stargrave ruleset. It should be very easy to use them there.

Oof. There's another reason to get into stargrave. I guess I might have to pull the trigger on that one.
So many great mutants. I'm still a bit in awe about the depth your bits box seems to have.

Hello, it's been a while. I have a tiny thing to present, just another chaos/stormcast headswap.

Spoiler:

Raptors are supposed to be stern and impassive, right?
