Could be worse - it's not even available to purchase for non-Americans.

Its a nice extra for people that are really big into this game and want get every little thing released for the game. $15 is also pretty reasonable for an exclusive pack of 2 minis and a bunch of cards. $5 for the cards, $5 for each mini... that's comparable to Reaper Bones miniatures.

Ugg. I missed the whole boat on this whole thing and now I'm sad.
EV is charging $38 for that expansion. Does anyone have an idea if hasbro will re-release all the expansions? Blarg!

Some of the stuff will get retail releases but not everything. The expansion boxes and the core game have already had their retail release announced. Certain models were described as "goals", "bonuses", "extras", "new", and only a few as "exclusive". These "Limited Time Exclusives" are the ones that won't get a retail releases. The "Limited Time Exclusives" were Sir Ragnar, Mentor and Wizard Hero w/cards, the Witch Lord.
One caveat that I can't find evidence of but swear I remember reading.... The detailed descriptions of the bonus quests, if I remember correctly the Joe Manganiello quest book and Dragon was the only new quest book described as an "Exclusive", but that stretch goal was never met and was only included as a "Thank you for your patience" due to release delays. So there is fully wiggle room for a retail release.

Are you sure? Some of those links are not in USD.
Not a big deal really though. If it shows up again, I'll probably buy it. If not, I've got plenty of figures I could proxy for a knight and they've been nice enough to show all the print that matters in the ad pics so I could easily put it in our games if we want.
Finished up Quest 6 this weekend. The family is still excited about the game, so I look forward to getting at least through the end of the main book before too long. Choosing where to go from there might be tough. I'm loving having something wargaming/RPG/Fantasy'ish that is fun and simple enough that the whole family enjoys it.

Rats, the Knights are already "out of stock" for preorder on MM.
Oh well, I think I've got enough as it is - having the two expansion packs and the mythic exclusive is way more than I had before.
(Funny thing - while rummaging through the original, I found a Paladin character. I'm trying to figure out if this was something we homebrewed or maybe got out of a White Dwarf).
It never ends well

The best thing about Heroquest is the Knight. Look at the chival-rality! You are the Knight, the tankiest hero of them all. And theyre not kidding! He throws three defending dice by default. Not even the gargoyle can punch through that. And that's without needing to get the plate mail.
BRODESWORDE! A knight, best character in the game by a long shot and you should all go play as him immediately.
Right. Now that the preorders are gone. The best thing about Heroquest is the Dwarves. Ahh yes. The Knight... Strictly for scalpers. He is infact Ebay2Win. True aficionados of Heroquest and mythic backers of the game play the dwarves. *headnod*

The crowdfunding wasn’t available to the EU but retail release is confirmed and a Spanish version was confirmed by the Spanish division of Hasbro. I considered using mail forwarding but with the change to VAT rules in July I’m glad I didn’t.
The only EU retail version I’ve seen so far is the Zavvi.ie version but I can’t confirm if they actually ship from within the EU or if this is just a .ie version of the UK site and shipping is from there. Other EU versions of Zavvi also have it available for preorder.
EDIT looks like it’s direct from EU or if UK it’s DDP.
For customers located in the EU, most of our products will ship from our distribution centre within the EU and therefore ordering with us will continue as normal.
For any products shipping from the UK to addresses in the EU, tax and duties will be settled on your behalf with our courier, so there is no cost to you.
Asked EBGames if mine is in and they don't know gak and just try to get me to order the retail copies for next year. Was meant to have it delivered to a store for pickup.

I’ll have a look later. I’m about to knock off, and that fireside seat in the pub is a-calling my name, because it is Friday night, and yes lovely boys, you is allowed a beer!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, I’m super chuffed this is going to retail. The wider hobby needs such an accessible entry point.
Also it means lots of expansions to come, which is pleasing!

Fed up of Scalpers? But still want your Exclusives? Why not join us?

I only measured the punch out tiles that get placed on the board, but they measure between 25 & 26 mm. The minis' bases are about 24 mm.

Boards are the same size, though the new one had an extra edge on side, possibly for putting extra minis or whatnot to the side.

I really want to support the game but simply not got the shelf space for it now. Did have last year, but not now.
That said, I wouldn't mind the Return of the Witch Lord set as its more fashionably undead models for Castle Ravenloft and Frostgrave. And the box art is bloody brilliant. By placing the Baron's Nephew, Rabban in charge of the task I would have him squeeze and squeeze it into that empty gap on the shelf!
Casual gaming, mostly solo-coop these days.

Ok, genuinely have got my shipping notification now! (The last was a random parcel I forgot I ordered). Unfortunately I’m away so I have two more weeks of anticipation!
