I'll be posting short reports and photos of the six games I played this past weekend at the awesome Battle for Salvation 2000-pt NOVA-style tournament in NY. I'm lazy, so won't be reposting everything here, but instead will link to my blog post.

I was running what I've had sitting in shoeboxes in the basement for many years, things I tried to make work when the Daemon book came out many moons ago: lots of flying daemon princes! It didn't work before, but is pretty potent now:

Fateweaver
Lord of Change
4 units of 5 Horrors (one has The Changeling and a Bolt)
3 units of 3 Flamers
3 units of 5 Screamers
and two Daemon Princes with Mark of Tzeentch, Wings, Might, Gaze, and Bolt

Did you happen to ask him what he used for his Grotesques? I think they look awesome! I have been looking for ideas to make them look better. Please share if you could what he used.

It's Joe Johnson, I talked to him a bit about that unit and the rest of his army. The Grotesques are all based of the plastic Daemon Prince model with tons of green stuff and add-ons.

Yeah, those were Joes, and I believe he had to buy something like 3 kits of stuff to put together each Grot...very money and labor intensive. They are stunning though!

Game 3 is up. Not my usual level of detail, I just don't have the memory for these anymore! Hope you enjoy anyway!

Great reports so far - it is neat to see so many daemon players out there. The update from WD (and 6th ed rules) really shows how you can breath life into a new codex with a few tweaks and new plastics.

Looking forwards to some moar!!!

Game 4 finally done. Sorry for the long delay there...real life intervened. My memory of details has grown foggier, so the rest will be more briefier than the already brief'ish reports were.

Awesome job! Neil's army is definitely a tough army to play against. My necron army is somewhat similar to his, though with less flyers and more wraiths.

BTW, check out his necron airforce in action in this very funny video batrep from Frontline Gaming. (He's since changed list somewhat since then).
