hi guys i was wondering with the new chaos codex i have drawn up many lists and i was wondering if anyone can share some opinions on my list or recommend improvements.

Looks pretty good but I have a few suggestions personally:

If the Lord is going with the Chaos Bikes (which I would highly highly recommend) then drop the Icon of Vengeance since the Lord is already Fearless. Personally I would recommend that you take either the Chaos Lord with Mark of Nurgle on Bike and Power weapon, or you do a Nurgle Sorcerer on a bike. Both are pretty powerful! Also I noticed that you miscalculated for the Chaos Bikes.

So I'd say that you list should look something like:
chaos lord on bike with power weapon and bike and mark of nurgle 115

3 chaos bikes with aspring champion and mark of nurgle 94

5 chaos marines with plasma gun and votlw 95

5 chaos marines with plasma gun and votlw 95

1 obliterator mark of nurgle 76

This puts you squarely at 475. Now you have 25 points. You could soup up your Chaos Lord with a Sigil of Corruption for a 4+ invul, or take a combi-weapon and Aura of Dark Glory for a 5+ invul.

Just some thoughts!

Thats a really small force for 500 points, with the Ld nerf those 5 marines might run eventually, I think the cultist would shine here, taking one squad of marines and 1 of cultists

I'd go with:

HQ

Lord - Sigil of Corruption & Murder sword

Troops

16x Cultists - Champ w/shotgun & 1x Heavy Stuber
10x Marines - MoN, Champ w/ power weapon & melta bomb, 2xFlamers, extra CCW

Heavy

Obliterator - MoN

Total - 500

The cultists will need to sit on the back on an objective and go to the ground they aren't meant to do anything else, the 10 marines with MoN are one tough unit at 500 points, and they can either stand and shoot or go in to kill with their CCWs, they are also fearless by going with the lord, and the lord svs on 4+ invul and got exactly the weapon to deal with any nasty HQs you might find

I like the Lord with the Bikes idea, that is some hardcore survivability. However I agree with the previous poster, in small games more often then not bodies help, and you ARE going to need bodies to keep objectives. Throwing a melta on a bike might not be a bad idea either to pop a tank.
