I was looking to throw together a quick list for Night Lords and since I already have IG I decided to throw them in too to start out. Let me know what you think.

CCS following foot Vets to order around and keep them in the fight. Melta Vets, PBS and LRBT run around blasting things. Melta vets can also jump out near end game and grab objectives. CSM in rhino rush up to take an objective and the Raptors DS in with the lord to CC things to death and pop tanks.

Does the CSM Lord have a Power Fist AND Lightning Claw? Does the specialist weapon rule (only get +1 ATTK if you have two specialist weapons) work on two different weapons?

get outta here with that MoO also why the PCS? (im guessing thats what you meant by PBS) Put plasma on those GL vets... Gl are pretty bad

The way the armoury works now, he can have both. I just have to choose which weapon I want to use in the fight sub phase I think. I don't think he gets the extra attack but he doesn't need it. The MoO has never done anything for me being as inaccurate as it is so I'll drop that then. The Psyker Battle squad though usually makes a great 1-2 punch for a tough to crack squad. I shoot a bunch with the rest of the army so they have to make a morale test on Ld 2.

Your lord would not be able to join your squad of Raptors as Independent Characters with one type of Mark cannot join squads that have a different Mark of Chaos.

However, he would indeed get the +1 A bonus for having both a LC and a PF, as they are both Specialist Weapons.

As mentioned above a Tzeentch lord can't join Slaanesh raptors, and regarding the weapons yeah, you get the extra attack for wielding a PF & a LC, your lord actually is almost the same that I run with my Night Lords army but mine got MoN to make it harder to be hit by torrents of bolter fire before it can assault

Just modded the list again to give Lord and Raptors MoN, the foot vets a 3rd PG, and no more MoO in the CCS. I don't think Fear is all that useful in 40k so I didn't bother with the Icon of Despair but it could be worth it for the +1 to combat resolution. Either way I have 25 pts extra I don't know what to do with.

PBS cannot shoot out of Chimera's with their pysker anymore.
If you drop them you have 190 points which can be spent getting 1 LRExe. You also don't seem to need the astropath, dropping that and finding 10 points elsewhere means you could get 2* LRExe.

I think with the only AV12 thing having 3 Melta's in it it'll get targeted really quickly.

Why are you choosing HB's over AC's?

Uh? why can't they shoot from the chimera anymore? afaik the PBS can still shoot with their blast not so sure about the ld reduction

That refers to vehicles without fire points... Page 78 states that you can fire witchfire or any other psychic shooting attacks from any fire point, and now that i remember the leadership one is considered a shooting attack as well, so yeah they can fire just as they did on past edition

Darn rabbit, I keep screwing up the rules. The bit that says "This means that a Psyker embarked on a Transport can only target himself, his vehicle or another unit embarked on the same vehicle as the Pysker." I thought over powered the firepoint bit.

Nah, thats for things like psykers embarked con LRs only able to buff the units inside, but once the transport gets a fire point 1 model per point might draw LoS

Right so in light of all that, is it more feasible to keep the str 10 blast and Ld drop power in a chimera or add in another LRBT with HB sponsons?
