Relatively new to 40k and tabletop wargames in general, been looking at the new Chaos Space Marines codex and don't think its possible but thought I would check.

Is it possible to make a group of termi's up in a way were they are totally badass hard to kill and munch stuff in close combat?

Any suggestions welcome especially if they give me an excuse to use Typhus and the forgeworld death guard conversions

In short, yes it is possible. Once you fully grasp how the mechanics as far as Toughness, Initiative and Feel No Pain work, I am confident that you will be able to construct a Terminator unit that will do what you need it to do using the new CSM book.

To give your terminators Feel No Pain they would have to have Mark of Slaanesh, but that would mean that you couldn't join Typhus because he has a different mark.

Toughness 5 terminators are plenty good... They should be a nice durable bodyguard for Typhus and a good combat unit as well.

Mmmm not many choices, specially since they are elites and compete with the cult troops/chosen/helbrutes/etc, if you are looking for a badass termie army that would either be GKs or probably the comming DA's Deathwing

Yeh I had already looked at GK's will be probably going that path once I established my chaos army (a friend has some he never going to use so on the cheap ) and deathwing termi's is what my friend is going I was purely wondering if something along those lines would be possible with csm.
