   This is really my standard 750 Deathwing list: I'm looking for guidance on how to tune it up for Cityfight situations.

HQ: Epistolary: SB/FS, PH; Fury/Fear, Telehomer

6-man termie squad: 2 ACs, chainfist

5-man termie squad; 2 ACs

I was toying with the idea of losing the librarian and one of the AC squads for a Reclusiarch and 6+man Assault termie squad. Bad idea? Better to squeeze some Auspexes in somehow? Better thoughts than my own?

I'm actually thinking a couple of heavy flamers wouldn't be such a bad investment in City Fight. Normally, I only put them on Dreads, but if you're just taking Terminators, maybe a couple on the 5-man squad would work.

And I'm always in favor of a Librarian. A good tactic might be, if you can pull it off, to flame a squad or two and then Fear them away, using the flamers to drop the squad(s) below half.

Pet peeve! Get rid of the storm bolter on the librarian! He'll never use it. Storm shield or power weapon. If you can't afford it, find the points somehow. If it were me, I'd remove the telehomer. I'm not so sure how useful it will be in city fight. Terminators excel in terrain. I don't think you'll need to deep strike.

Also, I have to agree with thx. I'd take the librarian over a chaplain anyday. Heavy flamers might be interesting. Still... assault cannons are just sssoooo reliable...

If you can find the points, combi flamers might make for a decent substitute.

Full Disclosure: I take the storm bolter because it's the cheapest option, and I rarely get that Lib into HTH. Frankly, at 750 points, I'm loath to use anything but. A combi-flamer isn't a bad idea for the short-run, though.

Well now hold on a sec. I didn't mean the combi flamer on the librarian. I'd never waste a template weapon on a BS5 character. On a squad sgt, though, that's another story. It's still nice and cheap. Plus I don't feel as bad letting the flamer rip on a BS4 model.

I haven't run the points for your list, but I'm guessing your tolerance is pretty tight? Is this 750 exactly?

I'm loathe to try heavy flamers/combi-flamers, but I'll playtest it and see what's what.
