i think you should try finding some points to add spawn or bikers so you can put your lord with them , if you run him alone hes quite an easy target and your opponent gets 3 VP for warlord kill

There's no reason not to put a lord on a bike far as I'm concerned. Faster than jump infantry, toughness boost, ability to fire a combi-plasma and assault, etc.
