Psst. You can say GW Catachans...or Crapachans if you prefer.

Their lawyers aren't everywhere or necessarily right when they are there.

OK, here's the spacenam with every human sized GW and Mantic mini I had available, also the other Wargames Atlantic minis. They occupy about the same amount of space, but their legs are more bent than the other figures, so they're probably about a head taller than most of them if they were all stood at attention. So they look OK together they'll just be very big boys.

Thank you, Werkrobotwerk, very thorough.

Fortunate Son - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Spoiler:

Fortunate Son was released November 22, 1969, so anyone in-country prior to this would not associate Fortunate Son with their Vietnam War experience. According to a son who was passing on what his father said, "I was in-country in '68, and the most requested song on AFRN (Armed Forces Radio Network) was "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

I think that would be a great contrast to the usual Vietnam War movie footage, which of course uses "Fortunate Son". Picture this scene, a Firebase in danger of being overrun by VC, gunfire, smoke, fires, explosions, cries of "Medic!", and barked orders. The CO is forced to call his troops into the bunkers, and call in an artillery barrage on the firebase. And over all this chaos, the Liverpudlian accents of the Fab Four,

"We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
We hope you will enjoy the show
We're Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
Sit back and let the evening go."

I hope Atlantic stop butterflying about pick a genre and do a full range before returning to another genre.

The SpaceNam figure shots are much appreciated. I'm sure many of us were curious about the size

They are ridiculously huge, but so were the original Catachan plastics compared to the metal IG that proceeded them, and the SpaceNam figures are certainly much nicer.

I suspect those who like want an army of Arnolds will find these quite to their liking.

I think they're neck covers for use with the kepis, classic Foreign Legion Beau Geste style.

It is so they can eat their Ortolan, if you don't understand that. Google it.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

Is this a suggestion for a theme or a response to the spacenam photos?

Please clarify what you mean by "butterflying"? The polls are an engagment of the tribes community to help determine future releases. We have 11 ranges of plastic figures, and we are adding digital file sets to complement each range, every month. Which is why we are taking suggestions on general themes.

They go with the Foreign Legion Kepi's. They are the typical sunshades.

As the others said, it's a kepi neck cover, here's a picture of one:

Well I know what I'm printing this weekend...

Had a feeling we might be seeing Japanese peasants when I saw that arm preview!

Hopefully that bodes well for actual samurai and ashigaru at some future point!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

They look quite cool, although as I commented on the MMF message, I'd love to see more "non weapon" options like extra arms, cabinet or lumber backpacks and the like (like this, for example: i.pinimg.com/originals/f8/2e/7a/f82e7ac803af493db0b4d7b695ba8ed5.jpg), and some female kimonos too.

Excellent! The other part of Shichinin no samurai, the peasants who need the titular samurai to protect them from the bandits. And if they get religion, they can become Ikkō-ikki.

Wow, my ghillie suit guess was way off.

Those peasants look amazing. Shame 3D printing is not something I can do...

Same. :(

I would have bought the Japanese set. But hopefully they get enough traffic that WA decides to do them in plastic... or eventually gets a print option in place.

December 2022 Preview!
December 2022 Preview!
The Atlantic Digital team is hard at work on our December releases! This month's theme was voted on on our website and the winner was "Civilians". All the sets, characters, conversion parts, vehicles, and terrain pieces have something to do with the civilian theme across all 11 of our ranges.

The teaser image above is just a hint of what's to come.

Also we wanted to let you know how we'll be releasing all the new goodies. Starting next week we will begin to release on a staggered basis with the majority coming around mid-month. But the releases won't stop there, we'll continue to drop new files throughout the month.

We also need to start getting ready for January so we'll be hitting everyone up with a poll to determine the January theme. Stay tuned!

Here are some of the releases that are coming in December by range:

Classic Fantasy: Dragon and Thief - vignette/multi-part set

Renaissance: Japanese Sengoku/Edo Era Peasants - full multi-part set

Death Fields: Cannon Fodder non-combatant arms/parts/bodies

Death Fields: Arena Security Team multi-part set

Blood Oaths/Renaissance: Peasants

Blood Oaths: Armed/unarmed Monks multi-part set

Classic Fantasy: Three wagon caravan with drivers and guards multi-part set

Imperial Conquests: British Policemen multi-part set

Napoleon's Wars: Camp Followers multi-part set

Great War: Field Hospital nurses, doctors, patients (also armed versions) multi-part set

First Empires: Egyptian Slaves multi-part set

Decline and Fall: TBA

World Ablaze: TBA

It's a big, big release again this month!

Update on the expected release for December
