Hi, I signed up for the Mantic forum a while ago now but never recieved the activation email. Tried again under a different name but still no good.
I've also sent a message with the contact form but still no reply.
Any ideas?

Mine took a couple of days to come through. I suspect they might all be a bit busy at the moment dealing with the pre-dreadball last minute rush of orders (and then with the actual dreadball KS orders).

Mine has been about a fortnight though. I'll just have to wait I suppose.

Do check your spam folder though, your activation email might have ended up in there.

Haven't got it.

I tried again with a Hotmail account and recieved the activation email but Hotmail said that "This message looks very suspicious to our SmartScreen filters" so I suspect that the other emails are being blocked by my isp.

I 'activated' the new account with the Hotmail address, but now it seems that I have to wait again for somebody to manually activate it.
I give up.

Well nothing can match the difficulties involved with signing up to the Ambush Alley forums - I can understand not wanting to have spam, but for feths sake its kind of defeating the object if its impossible for anyone to post on the damned thing?

I think the problem is everybody underestimates the number of bots & spammers that try to get into forums.

One of the volunteer mods said that just one days tally was over 350 'junk' applications he had to wade through to potentially greenlight 5 or so (and thats with capatchas enabled)

since they're moderated by volunteers it's not surprising problems happen, especailly to folk using 'free' email addresses like most of the spammers
