Greetings everyone! From the thread title you have all by now concluded that I am a deff skulls ork player. I will start the thread by giving you guys a bit of info about me.
I started playing 40k at the beginning of this last summer. I play 40k games frequently and I only collect orks. I am very new to 40k but I have started making some small conversions and things. I started this blog to give me the incentive to keep painting and to show all of you what I am up to. I am a pretty good painter... I think. Recently I bought my friends ork army off of him. Here is what I have as of now:

2 trukks
75 boys
6 deff koptas
6 warbikers
2 warbosses
10 gretchin
1 Zapp gun
5 stormboys
20 nobs
1 Gazkhull
5 tankbustas

Right now, I have over 20 boys painted, 2.5 warbikes, a deffkopta, and a warboss. I will post my progress often for you guys. I am willing to do small batreps or tutorials if you guys want. Better pic.'s will be coming I was kinda hurried tonight. Thanks -Micah da Ork

Here is a sample of my painting standard for a ork boy:

I like the objective- it looks like something a proppa' boy would be willing to fight over (as if they need an excuse...)

Here is a quick update with a boy who needs the painboy. I did the blood effect with red ink. It takes a while to dry but creates a quite remarkable blood effect.

So I was thinking (that's new), and I figured that grots are not worth it unless they have something big to shoot. IMO, big guns are expensive, so I borrowed/looted my brothers bright lance into a zapp gun. I found it really easy and tons of fun to make and paint, so I might be doing one or two more. C & C is appreciated. I hope ya like it. I added in a grot I painted and you haven't seen too .

Over the period of time between the last update and now, I have finished the last zapp gun, painted a big shoota boy, painted several boys, and painted Ghazghkull Thraka. The last zapp gun went pretty fast and alot easier than the other models I've painted. The big shoota was interesting because it was my first ever experience painting tau. I decided on a pretty basic color scheme for the big shootas and then washed them down a bunch, to show the guns have gotten "nice 'n proppa' care". Ghazghkull Thraka was difficult because I am not used to painting orks with that much metal and armour. I decided on painting his armour with a worntorn red look. I like the result... do you? C&C is welcome.
