Hey everyone, I figured I would throw this thread together to help me get my 1250 pts of Space marines together and painted. I always find I go hard and burn out so right now I am jumping between my imperial fists and my necrons, you can find them through my signature, please let me know what you think and any thoughts and criticism I will accept and apply if it is in my ability.

Lets get the ball started:

Looking good man, that's a nice yellow you've gotten there, how did you do it?

The yellow is very simple;

Start with tan base (I use a krylon primer that works on plastics)
Yriel yellow till solid
Agrax earthshade into deep recesses only
Flashgitz yellow highlights
seraphim sepia wash.

that is pretty much the jist of it.

Does anyone have a good guide for putting inscription on models? I think the contemptor could use some on the large flat areas.

Beautiful work there mate, your yellow has a really nice depth to it that you don't often see. As for C&C the only things I could see were a few mold lines on bolters. I would also suggest trying a different colour on the joints as the silver is disappearing next to the yellow. Maybe try a matte black there?

I will look into your suggestion and I can not believe I missed some mould lines! I will edeavor to rectify that on later models.

I hate the little buggers, they always crop up somewhere no matter how hard you try to get them all.
