Hey folks,

I'm working on my IG army and need a ton of plasma guns for CCS and Vet Squads. I'm interested in finding the cheapest route to getting good-looking plasma guns and I'd rather not have to convert them out of plasma pistols (which I know you can do, but I just haven't found any that I think really look good).

Here are the options I've seen so far:

- Games Workshop (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440277a&prodId=prod1710022a) - 5 Finecast Plasma Guns for $10. This is the baseline. I'd like to find them cheaper than this.
- The Warstore (http://www.thewarstore.com/product47388.html, http://www.thewarstore.com/product70290.html, http://www.thewarstore.com/product68296.html, http://www.thewarstore.com/product50304.html, etc.) - 1 plastic Plasma Gun runs for between $4-$6 depending on if you want an IG-specific one or how much SM chapter-specific iconography you can tolerate.
- MaxMini (via The Warstore - http://www.thewarstore.com/product68101.html) - 5 "Energy Guns" for $7. While cheaper than the GW Finecast ones, they don't actually look much like Plasma Guns. I realize that I could also potentially use MaxMini's "Tesla Cannons" or "Nuclear Guns", neither of them look more like Plasma Guns (although if I were really needing Meltas, I'd go for the Nuclear Guns).
- Kromlech (via The Warstore - http://www.thewarstore.com/product70290.html) - 5 "Plasma Rifles" for $8. Again, these are cheaper than GW's, but frankly look weedier to me.
- Chapterhouse (http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=77_123&product_id=178) - 1 Combi-Weapon Plasma Gun Component for $1.50. This is certainly cheaper, but it's only the Plasma Weapon bit for a combi-weapon.

Are there any others out there that people know about?

Thanks!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

The Chapterhouse one should be easy to fit on a modified lasgun. That'd look plasma-y enough. Guitar wire to some kind of power-cell backpack would be baller.

Why buy them when you can convert them quite easily?
