Hello. I really wanted to try a model with LEDs and my new Colossal looks like the perfect candidate. First test pics.





Probably need to find a way to defract the light more so it's not so intense upwards. The manufacturer recommended sanding the top down a bit. Anyone have experience doing this?

Got more done.

Base coating was done using the weathering technique from the Colossals book (airbrush layers with hairspray?). Turned out ok, hopefully it will look better when I start to paint the details. LEDs are working ok, though in a well lit room, will be hard to see /shrug

Pretty much completed this project now. Still need some detail work and maybe use a light Devlan mud wash on the base.

I tried to hide the wires best that I could with paint and tape. The wall feature on the back helps.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away...

That's a really cool effect with the LED light on the paintwork - lovely colours as well, kudos to you..

The base is also excellent, where did you get the bits from?
