Hello guys.

One of the things I've always loved about the 40Kverse is how huge and expansive it is. There's justification there for fitting in just about any type of themed army you can imagine.

For years now (ever since I flicked back through my original 40K Rogue Trader book and saw the Logan's World feature) I've wanted to build a human Mad Max/Road Warrior themed army for 40K. So that's just what I'm going to do. Using the 40K Ork Codex and a whole heap of Post Apocalyptic miniatures from a good half-dozen or so companies, I'm going to begin work on creating my dream army. I don't have anything to work with yet, not even a single vehicle or miniature, so this blog will be recording my efforts starting from scratch all the way to the finish.

Other influences will include the old GW Dark Future game, Confontation/Necromunda and a whole heap of PA movies, such as Rise of the Jugger, Mad Max, Book of Eli, Steel Dawn. Basically, anything that involves mohawks and motorcars!

So, for the time being, I'll leave you with some images from the original 40K Rogue Trader rulebook. Just to give you guys an idea of the type of look I'm going for.

Something else to look at for inspiration is GMM Studios. Brandon over there did a Thunder Dome themed Ork army

Damn his stuff is sweet! I especially loved the Tina Turner Ork! Thanks for linking this. It's a goldmine for ideas.
