'Sup ya'll?

Poppin' out o' the lurkity lurk to ask a simple noob Q.

Does Ordnance roll to hit like normal weapons, or do you simply skip that, place the frisbee, and roll scatter?

It looks like no "to hit" is required, but the book ain't crystal on the subject in mine eye, and heaven forbid I screw up something as simple as that.

Thanks in advance for the 411!

So, quote the section in the book you are having problems with and we will help you out.

p29 "Designate the target and place the large blast marker over it..."

See, it doesn't say anything about rolling to hit, but neither do any of the other weapon types on that same page. Thats where i see the problem.

You guys here are all about "permissive" rules, so I try to apply that, but I don't see how this one explicitly says "don't roll to hit".

I see what you're saying Freud. It is a bit confusing, especially since the next section on templates says "Instead of rolling to hit, place the template..."

Unfortunately, GW is know for their inconsistencies, but don't let that get you down!

The very line that you quoted is the one that lets you skip the "to hit" roll. The steps are simply different for Ordnance, and they are further outlined in the summary page at the end of the book. Use the summary as your guide, its much clearer.

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion."
