So I run a eldar foot army and often include dark angel allies. What is a solid tactic for dealing with those pesky death company boys?

Speaking from experience against BA (but using IG): make 'em roll that FNP or use those weapons that by-pass it.

The most reliable way I've found to kill them is either massed plasma or a battle cannon to the face. Lemartes will go down like the rest of them, especially if you're throwing str:8 his way. Now I can't comment on how Eldar will do this; I'm barely familiar with them, but the idea I assume would be the same for all lists. Pour AP3/2 and Str:8 on to them until they are no more.

For the Dreads, well, I find dreads to be rather pathetic. If they are on the storm raven, you will need some reliable AA, but if they're walking then you have plenty of time to take them out.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

Playing with rather then against DC, charge them, they wont get rage which basically doubles their CC efficency, nor furious charge. Either spoon feed then crappy units (i.e move some gurdians up so they are the most logical target for their next turn the DC should over kill them then focus all your fire on them. Depending how the DC are moving (rhino Land raider drop pod or storm raven) blow that up as soon as, if foot slogging weight of fire, if jump packs weight of fire again but they get expensive with JP's/

Depending on how my DC they bought, the BA likely already cost himself the game. MarkyMark is right. If you charge them with your fleetness, they are super gimp for the points.

DC dreads suck because of AV12. And they are troops that don't score.

If you have Dark Angel allies, a single squad of terminators can crush poorly armed DC.

I did the math. Termies vs DC it all comes down to the charge. 200 points of termys vs 200 points of DC that is. If the DC have bolters it works in the termies favor. If the termies are TacTermies & have a hvy wpn it helps a little, but then we'd have to figure in gear for the DC too. So that issue is rendered moot. Being TH/SS doesn't realy make a difference.

If a BAs player drop pods a DC sqd next to termies he's an idiot. Seeing as beating him is a problem ill assume he's not an idiot. Id go with something else over termies, unless your getting them a LR. At wich point your spending 450+100 points for HQ on an ally.

they are just regular marines with a FnP save. Ap3, then all they get is a 5+. I play them all the time, love them, but without the charge.....just regular dudes.

thats why they should have JP....to make sure they get that charge.

I'm not a fan of jump packs due to the cost on DC. Ras get twice the numbers and a priest compared to DC with packs.

I do like the DC dread. AV 12 is an issue, but av13 is not great either versus someone good in cc. However the 2 extra attacks the DC dread gets make a big deal when it comes to killing the targets that you want a dread to deal with. Also, since an MC like the tervigon is a popular choice, you really want to hit as hard as you can before they swing back at s10.

To the op, guided war Walkers have the amount of shots needed to down them, and fire dragons can perform cleanup. Also dark reapers on a quad gun with crack shot barrage s4 ap3.
