Do you think Logan Grimnar can be good in a competitive Space Wolves list?

Yes!

However it will all depend on how you use him and what type of list he is in.

Agreed completely. Especially if there are going to be any WG involved. Post what working list you have now and we can bounce ideas and opinions and inevitably argue over some small detail and derail the thread only to ultimatly get back on topic and hopefully point you in a direction that points for your play style.

I know Daryl over at Beasts of War runs a Logan-wing Space wolves army, he might have some videos up on it if you've got the time to check it out.

Well i was mainly just wondering in general if he is. Really considering starting up some Space Wolves and i've always liked Logan Grimnar in general. Since i started back in 2003 he's been my favorite character. And i haven't seen any Space Wolf players here so i figure why not? Haha
However i reeeally don't wanna do anything like Loganwing. I like Termis alot.....just not enough to make a whole army of them, like Grey hunters too much haha

Logan is excellent; you want to make use of his special rules (such as by attaching him to a longfang pack to make them Relentless) and you want to get him into assault, where he excels. Podding him in is a popular choice.

You also don't have to take WG in terminator armor- you can also take squads of regular Wolf Guard in power armor as Troops. Their base cost is 3pts more than GH, but they have +1A and +1Ld, which is a bargain. And tons of wargear/weapon options.

Multi-meltas are amazing, but they're very difficult to use effectively on power-armoured troops. As Mannahin already pointed out, Logan solves that problem like a champ, and the Long Fang's split fire ability ensures you won't be pouring all that overkill into a single unit.

Of course, there's no reason Logan has to stick with the Long Fang squad once the pesky metal boxes are disposed of...

Yeah, I've been thinking of running him in a pod with long fangs and then after the first turn have him leave them and join some termi's for some close combat fun.

Not tried it yet but seems to have good potential to add a bit of extra punch to a drop pod alpha strike.

Just watch out- that LF squad will be a priority target. Consider also taking WG combi-weapon squads in pods. 3-4 with combi weapons is super nasty. And every 5th one can put on some termi armor and bring a heavy weapon. Yay!

Yes do use him! But make sure you're using him with wolf guard and make sure you claim back his hefty price tag. If you do those things then he is almost always worth it.
