Apologies for the lack of updates, had to disassemble the tumble dryer and cure a squeek that was annoying "she". Anyway here's a few pics of the collar and the various packs etc under construction.

Don't forget the special insignia piece on the left-hand side collar. 'Tis fairly distinct.

Love this. BIG fan of DKoK. It looks like you are sculpting it out of pastry. What is that stuff?

I must say, I'm REALLY digging where this is going, so far. I made a DKOK Gas mask (real) for gaming with my friends. But, I must say, sculpting the entire torso of one is a most commendable effort, and would actually be some pretty rad terrain, as a statue, if you casted it!

Have you thought about sculpting some fine seam lines in the cloth, or lightly pressing cheesecloth, or some other type of fabric, into the sculpt to give the uniform a realistic cloth look?

Can't wait to see more, dude!

Cheese cloth, great idea, are the great coats heavey wool or leather? i havent a clue myself Dkok's not something im overly familiar with, as for the seams i usuall get all the big detailing done first then use a rotary cutter to do the seam and then back fill with putty and sculpt until i think it looks ok.
Thanks for the tip re the cloth though, much appreciated if theres any other fluff you have that might be of use please feel free

I'm not TOO sure. But, in regards tho their heavy influence of combat uniforms from WWI and WWII, I would assume its a heavy wool or canvas. Just like a NON-super high up commander dude would wear. You know? I'm definitely going to have to keep an eye on you, sir! I can't wait to see how you paint it!

I had problems with the rifle it was way to short at the stock fixed by cutting the butt off and extending the hand grip by nearly double also the detachable gas mask pack was being more trouble than its worth so it is now fixed in position permenantly and looks far better, also the collar dogs are done and the belt and some of the webbing is done the largepack and bed roll are still going to be detachable so theres options there. I also decided to redesign the pose he will now be holding the rifle across his belly instead of slung over his shoulder. should have some picture soon. Off to my mother in laws birthday now TTFN.

That's not what I meant DKoK have the left side of the collar err... layered with regiment color. I can't seem to find a perfect shot but take a look at this one:

His left collar is in easily distinct white, apart from the rest of the dark uniform. They have some kind of double layer collar on the left, with colour designation. If you have a FW mini it's the best one to see it in 3D.

I will only comment if you show that lovely tattoo pic of your wife again just kidding though he looks great and damn you I may need to have you make me a bust now :(.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Well here's a few overall mock up shots, personally i think the top section being shorter and fatter works well (opinions please) i have quite a lot of work yet to do for the arms, cuffs and the hands but you can get the overall impression of what the finished article will look like from these pics.
