What is your favorite chapter? It can be either loyal or traitor.
As for myself I would have to choose the black dragons. As they look cool and have fought zombies...

Salamanders, easily.
I like how they help out the normal humans instead of ignoring their existence.
Stuff like escorting refugees and supply convoys.

My favourite Legion?
Great Crusade- After reading 100pagea of Horus Rising, already Luna Wolves
Heresy Loyalists- Blood Angels. Because without the "Uber Vampire marines with fast cars and Uber-Berserkers" they actually sound really cool and Sanguinius was the second best primarch overall Preheresy, after Horus
Heresy Traitors- Would have to go Night Lords or Sons of Horus. For no other reason than badassery.
Chapter- Blood Ravens. Because awesome.
