i really dont care for the woc marauders. i mean theyre bare chested in bondage leather straps while the warriors wear full armor and cloaks, they just dont seem to mix well as a force. i was wondering what any of you have done to replace them or convert them.
not too long ago there was a conversion on the GW page with someone combining beastmen and marauders. i might go down that route but figured id see if there was already a model out there that i might like better.

I've always been a fan of simply using Beastmen Gors as Marauders.

I use zombies for mine in my Nurgle themed army.

I've used Empire Flaggelants as Marauders for my Slaaneshi army. I replaced the heads with Daemonette heads and they look very good, all it takes it the head swap, the Daemonette command parts and purple clothes with pale skin and purple-grey hair.

Sorry I have no pics the bases and final details are still being done. Also I was able to give them the flails that the Flaggelants have because Marauders can take them too.

Flaggelants could easily be used (with their own heads) to be Nurgle-type Marauders. Maybe Black ark corsairs would be another unit that could be used.

Russian Alternative (that's the company's name), also almost barechested though:

Avatars of War also made some Warrior alternatives, but they are often OOP:

Grain of salt: I'm just getting back into fantasy, so these were used back in 5th edition, no idea if you can field mounted marauders like this any more. It looks like the minis are still available.

I used Dark Elf dark riders as a base

Cut the spearheads off and replace with flails. Unit champion and hero are old minis from the Bretonian range. Back in the day you needed a retinue of troops for each character, and chaos warriors were the champions of marauder squads.

I have got to admit, those Russian Alternative figs are pretty boss.

Especially the Warriors of Apocalypse. I would probably get a bunch of them as chosen if I were to do a WOC army.

I have 75 of those warriors of apocalypse from avatars of war. They're awesome! Plus cheaper than GW Mannequins of Chaos.

I have a lot of the old metal marauders or I'd get those Russian ones in a heartbeat. So dynamic!

Warlord Games Vikings are a good substitute:

They are good models, and quite cheap: only 20 pounds ($25-$30) for a whopping 44 models!
