I'm slowly starting a Steel Legion force and have decided to convert the army entirely from third party models. The bodies are working out great so far but I really cannot sculpt their helmets for some reason! So I want to know if there are any German Para heads out there that would make a great base for Steel Legion heads.

Actually I've already found the heads West Wind produces which are ok, but not great. The heads aren't consistent and some of the helmets seem distorted.

Oh and some misc questions about paint additives, I've been starting to mess around with these.
I've heard good things about using Windex as thinner for airbrushes, would this principle also work for normal brushwork?
Also heard about adding a drop or so of dishwashing liquid to your water so that it acts as a flow improver. Anyone tried this?

Maybe Warlord's Bolt Action line? I know they have separate heads for some models, might be worth a look around.

Warlord doesn't seem to offer any heads for the paras. They're quite expensive anyway 2.5 pounds for 4 heads!

Thanks for the help anyway.

Ah just a note, most Westwind seperate head system (Berlin or Bust) are a roughly a third smaller than the usual Cadian bonce, be careful because heroic and non heroic don't play well !

Oh. From the photos I saw, west wind head suited 40K models just fine.
That's not going to be too much of a problem anyway, since I can just compensate by either upsizing the head or downsizing the body.

Also, I updated my OP to include some misc hobby questions.
