Hi dakka, this is still very much a wip but im not to sure on the heads i've chosen so i thought i throw it open to dakka see what people think..!

I think... The painting looks awesome. Both heads work well. I think this is one of those things that is really down to you and how you want your army to look. Why exactly aren't you happy with the heads?

I personally always envisioned Wolf Riders as being older, with big white beards and lots of braids. The Mohawk makes me think 'scout' cause that was how scouts were always depicted in the olden days. So I identify that style as being younger. I wouldn't choose that head myself for a wolf rider... However I did use that head for one of my BA assault marines because I think it looks awesome (probably my favourite SW head). You have made it look awesome here too. I think I prefer the Mohawk to the other one, because it is a bit different, and more striking. But this is very much your choice, your expression.

Yeah, really liking your paint job on the wolf. Personally, I prefer the second head as I hate mohawks on northmen.

I like the second head better, his hair just seems to reflect a bit of the wild wolfish-ness of the Space Wolves while riding a Thunderwolf

Wow that is some seriously awesome work. I would also have to go with the second option it just tends to fit to the model better overall.
