Well, I was reading Fulgrim in the Horus Heresy series, and on page 151, there was something that made me stop and think. It said he saw the death of humanity on a planet named for the end of the world. Could this be Armeggadon? And then he talks about a blue green giant. Is this Alpharius/Omegon of the Aplha Legion? If you've read Legion then you know that the reason they turned to Chaos was because the Cabal said it would help defeat Chaos. But right after, it said he was Horus. Did Horus have sea-green armor as a Sons of Horus? Well, I was just wondering if anyone knew about this, and thank all of you in advance for helping me out here.

There's no need to understand: xenos are liars and the Eldar are the worst liars among them all. In other words: whenever the Eldar prophesy something, its always safe to assume its false.

I recall (I can be corrected in a bit) that the Sons of Horus had a kind of greenish armor tint.

I doubt the planet was Arm. Sense humanity has won every battle on that planet so far. It could be that in Eldar tounge the planet is named for the end of the world but in human tounge it is named something like Terra or Davin (I dont have the book in front of me. just suggestions)

I disagree Harriticus, the line says he knows where the end time will happen, not the planet is named after the name for the end of the world. Though I can see how it could be read that way. (reads the passage again) positive.

No not at all, I know better than to trust that Eldar scum

But the text is clear, sorry folks it's not armageddon. I think it hints at the Davin moon where Horus fell to chaos.

Bloody Xenos scum why should we listen to their so called predictions of doom when they couldn't even see their own downfall

If Eldrad was so good he should of just killed Fulgrim before Fulgrim could stop him instead of having a nice chat about the weather and doom of the human race

Seems reasonable that it is Davin especially with Horus

If I recall correctly, Eldrad also warned the Emperor of Horus' impending betrayal. A warning the Emprah chose to ignore, and look how that turned out. If the Emperor was so great he would have used his own supposed powers of perception to notice the heresy in his son that he hung out with all the time. Face it. Big E dropped the ball hard.

Uh..... Eldrad 'warned' the Emperor by mettign and telling that to Fulgrim who was already corrupted. Emperor and Eldrad never meet in person.

Supposedly Eldrad is the only other person apart from Malcador and himself to know the Emperor's true name. Maybe they did meet once before, during the Old Night, and it didn't end well. Eldrad might have tried to talk the Emperor out of his plans, and got the short end of the stick as a result.

So... When Eldrad tried to warn Fulgrim that Horus would turn to Chaos, he was wrong?

Of course he was wrong, he was trying to warn the person that was already under the influence of Chaos, the daemon inside Fulgim's sword told him to kill Eldrad and all Eldar around him.
If Eldrad decided to go directly to Terra and warn the Emperor things would turn out differently...

What an amusing thought: "Hey Eldrad, long time no see! Did you come back for another good ol'fashioned butt kicking?"

"[The Emperor's name], Horus has betrayed you and fallen to Chaos!"

...

...

... (the Emperor pulls out his sword)

"I'll kill you..."

(Eldar screaming)

(Malcador) "Tsk, tsk. The idiot never should have said His Majesty's name in public."

Fulgrim was deemed to be the best choice if I recall and Fulgrim himself, unbelievably, wasn't aware he was under the the influence of Chaos at that time.

How do you propose that Eldrard went to the Emperor directly?

Send an emissary asking for a diplomatic meeting between the himself, the Seer Council, the Emperor, and the Council of Terra?

Not directly though is it, also the problem of getting to Terra would be an issue.

However, with a Primarch and a Legion at your side, that would be much safer wouldn't it.

His true name is either Geoff or Dave. This is official...It says here.

And on topic - especially 'The Emperor's Children' - visiting terra with them at your side might work. Because if you were eldar on your own, they'd just obliterate you. Or kidnap eldrad and make him explain how the webway gates work.

Chaos is quite good at hiding from everyone when it wants to. The corrupted sword of the laer didn't feature in anyone's visions. The eldar probably thought Fulgrim would've been clever enough to 'not pick up the evil demon sword'.

Just think - If the poor mon-keigh had actually managed to listen to an accurate warning, then all this would've been avoided/mitigated.

Excellent point. There's no reason why the Ruinous Powers couldn't use Craftworld Eldar in their schemes. Craftworlders refuse to cooperate with Chaos, obviously, but it has been demonstrated again and again that Chaos does not need your permission.

That's actually an interesting point. Maybe the Eldar just didn't see the sword at all because Slaanesh knows how to nullify their powers?

Yes, the Sons of Horus had green armor. The Luna Wolves had cream white -> Sons of Horus had green -> Black Legion has black. So the Eldar lies are true enough to be believed by those who dont know enough to burn the xenos on sight.
