Hello all! I am coming back into 40k after not playing for about six months. (I realize that I should just stay out and save myself) I sold my current army and I starting anew. I have a specific plan in mind this time and it revolves around the idea that I have a few friends who are semi interested in the game. However, they do not have the time or the money to commit to the whole hobby, the game itself just interests them. With this in mind here is my essential plan:
I want to collect and paint two armies simultaneously. I will keep alternating on painting a unit from each army so that the painting remains varied and the armies are of relatively even size. I also have two armies that I can always bring one of for these friends and teach them the game and occasionally let them borrow. I have already chosen and started the first army as Space Wolves. In general I am making a semi-fluffy AKA non-competitive army. What I want from this thread is suggestions on what the second army should be considering I would like it to be non-Imperial but I also want it to be an army that plays relatively even games against Space Wolves.
So, what army and what general army build?
