Is it a good idea for a long range shooty ork army with a kff to have a necron overlord for solar pulse increasing the cover save to troops over 24" to 2+

KFF is a 5+ cover save.

You get an additional bonus 2 from shrouded IF night fight is on and you are 24" away, improving the save to a 3+.

You only get a 1 bonus from stealth if night fight is on and you are 12" away, giving you a 4+.

It's a decent tactic, but only works at those ranges and only when night fight is on (IE only 1 turn with a solar pulse), so it's highly situational.

interesting, not sure how viable your orks would be with the points left over. Thats still only 1 maybe 2 turns of a very good cover save, after that the points you sunk into the necrons would equal to how many boyz you probably lost anyway.
I'd rather just double KFF it, max boyz, and hope for normal nightvision personally. I do see where youre coming at with this though, worth a shot
