So. I decided to get my pictures up from some stuff i'm painting last days (and some old and new stuff too).

I finally got some time to paint my Dark Angels.

The idea was i give myselfe some restrictions. And they are: no washes, no metal colors, no advance techiques of any kind. Just to paint them as simple as i can and stil get some nice tabletop look. Bases are not done yet but i have some cool idea for them in the future. Any critics, good or bad are welcome. I'm not easily offended so give it your best

First (test model) is up.......so here it is:

Thx for the comment. Was hoping for some more comments thou. From other people. Feedbacks can be very good (good or bad) and give some motivation to paint.

So i reuploaded images of that terminator in my gallery (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-56699-31997_Dark%20Angles.html) without those weird dakka filters since i think the colors are more accurate on the original picture.

And also here is marine test model. did some light drybrush on gun even thou i said i won't. Am thinking of going over it to meet the challenge restrictions.

I like what you've done. They have a cartoonish quality to them (in a good way) I think because you're not using washes or metallics. The only critical point I have is that I can see some mold lines.

You might get some more interest if you put Dark Angels in your blog title. People probably aren't visiting as much as you'd like because they don't know what it's about.

i'll do that (change title name).

and about mold lines. i'm well aware of them, but this army i'm painting for myselfe and thou i'm always looking to give miniatures my best pain job i'm kinda lazy when it comes to removeing moldlines...so...if you love your eyes don't watch this blog anymore cause you gonna see a lot of moldlines i trained my eyes not to see any moldlines whatsoever

I know how you feel. I timed myself out of curiosity yesterday and found it takes me about 25 minutes (per marine) to remove them properly. I've often thought about leaving them too because they're such a pain.

What are you working on next?

So, after long long time i had some time to get back to my minis. I droped out of standard color scheme for DA since i never liked painting minis in standard colors.

So here is a test model how will all of mine DA look like:

Comments and critics, all welcome.

I am happy you decided to switch from the standard colors because that new scheme is flippin' badass! Nice one

Thx. I also like it. Think it's the high contrast of colors that does the work, and i simply love that bronze color. Gives it that steampunk-ish look i was looking for and goes great with that light blue.

I see on your blog you are also fan of blue colors

Some progress was made.

I got some free time so i decided to magnetize some of my DW's. Made 2 units of 5 DW Knights. Didn't like Belial so i made my own from new DW box. Nothing fancy. And one Librarian in terminator armor also.

So here they are (waiting for some paint):

Belial

Librarian in terminator armor

Whole crew so far (10 more terminators to magnetize)
