I also like that they've listened to the community with regards to the previous Butcher pack and give you one of each mod from the get-go, so no need to jump through idiotic hoops to get those upgrades unlocked.

Subject: Payday 2 - Two more years of Payday 2 - BBQ pack incoming with flamethrower, rotary GL and the AA12!
Jobs like Shadowraid and Rats pay out well enough if you go all the way (steal all bags in the first, cook all bags in the second, steal all money from the bus on the last day), same with the X-Mas job from Vlad if you're looking for a quick and fun way to make money.
XP though.. Long multi-day jobs still net you the best XP gains.
If you want to grind cards or specific upgrades, either play short ones like Four Stores and Mall Crashers ad-nauseum or do the daily sidejobs for a chance at an upgrade of your choice.

No problems here so far, it takes some getting used to with the new angles, but so far, pretty neat. Bit miffed that the Signature .40 no longer ejects the clip with a casual flick of the wrist.

Crappy Butcher weapon pack with Western themed weaponry and masks, bleh.
The FREE Meltdown heist where you're required to raid the Blackwater facilities one more time, though this time it's loud and the target is a.. espresso machine? Or is it a snow cone maker? No wait, it's a water heater, right? Also, you can drive forklifts and a muscle car now, though the driving mechanics still suck.
Somewhere along the lines the XP system has also been revamped for free, where you will now be rewarded with bonus XP the more bags you bring along. So grinding the X-Mas heist for coke and toast has suddenly become lucrative in more ways than just beefing up the off-shore account.
The Alesso Heist, which is a fun heist and gives you a new revolver weapon that doesn't suck, yay. Also, boohoohoo, it's an expensive piece of DLC.

Both DLC's are out now. Didn't get the new heister yet, though his rifle does look good.
I did get the new heist, played it twice so far, finishing it once on loud. It's a fun romp that is probably more rewarding if you play it quietly, the map is certainly more forgiving with stealth, though you need to do a shedload of things before you even reach the vault proper.

taser melee wep is the best, bar none. any attack with it tazes ANYTHING but dozers (or shield's shield). Yes, you can get revenge on tasers now, and it stops cloakers kicking if you tase them.
New rifles are amazing. Super high ammo pick up rate (cav has about 2-4 per pick up, 4-6 iirc on the valk), and good damage, valk is also silenced by default. Running with silenced weapons build, both are the new kings of their respective areas (cavity as a dmr, and valk as an AR).
But the best of the best of this update... Grinder perk deck. Getting 48 per second HP regen with it maxed (on top of a 25-30% armor pen for the tans, and 40% more HP), is amazing. with LBV build (75 armor, 2.6 second armor regen) or dodge suit (~35% or so crouched, maxed sneaky) means you retain a decent amount of durability, along with NEVER needing a first aid kit again, and very rarely a med bag. This actually blows every other perk deck out of the water. Combined with the valk or cavity (or any very high ammo pick up weapon), you have pretty much removed needing any meds or ammo.

Well, that went to crap. I'm not sure on the details, but apparently microtransactions are athing now.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.
