A long weekend meant I could get all the infantry of my new Fyreslayers done, from start to finish!

I did some painting notes here: https://ttgamingdiary.wordpress.com/2016/03/29/fyreslayers/ in which I mention that someone on this forum gave me the idea for the dark skin - sorry, but I could not track down that post and credit you. However, it was the idea of someone else with more imagination than me!

The whole force (just two Magmadroths to go)

Great work so far everybody!
Here's my progress on Fyreslayers for Fantasia Fanatic next weeken in Sweden. Clash comp 30/20. Need to paint magmadroth 2: The Magnaing-ing for the back up list points. I'm pretty pleased with how they are turning out considering all my hobby supplies are overseas and I'm working with a limited range of materials.

The best thing about this post is that even after two attempts, it still wasn't funny. At least, not in the 'laughing with you' way...

Another one for the Ignore pile - I have found Dakka becomes most readable if you avail yourself of its facilities.

In happier news, got some Tzeentch models polished off...

Includes King Thrond for our Realmgate Wars battle this Friday, and my first Everchosen model, the Gaunt Summoner!

If you want to feel really sick...

My full time work is running a publishing company, I am in the midst of launching two major game systems (Traveller and Paranoia), I am currently writing a novel and building a robot boat, and for kicks I am in the middle of a degree in Planetary Science and Astronomy.

I just do AoS on the side. Oh, and we are about to start the Badab War with brand new armies.

Spare time? Yeah, I am not sure exactly what that is

I don't believe it

I REFUSE to believe it!

Beautiful models as usual Matt, really like the color scheme.

...oh and I hate you. I refuse to believe you are human. Maybe you are an evolved AI preparing to kill us all and replace us with an army of machine gamers? Maybe you are the War on Grey Plastic taken physical form?

On the topic of the Ignore function, my problem has become that I now have so many people on my ignore list from AoS threads that in normal threads, where some of these same people don't behave like asshats (strangely enough), it feels somewhat empty... a bit of a shame really.

Matt, while we have you here, please play (and write a report) of the Fyreslayer battle plan where you move through each section of the board like a dungeon crawl :-) (I think zombies also fall from the sky in it!)

Beautiful Tzeentch models.

On the list of things to do - need to paint up those zombies first (they are possibly the next 'big' project, either them or Everchosen Chaos Warriors).

I played that actually back in January. In the fav scenario thread I brought that up. The Fiend's Lair, from FS battle tome. I suggest giving it a go. Like a old RPG or video game. The opponent didn't realize how devastating for me it could be since he came in with spells active. Turn 2 my 20 vulkite berzerkers face a horde of skeletons with spears who did 91 attacks. ouch. then immediately 91 more. But since unit was fresh that 4+ ward save helped so only 7 died, even with my crappy rolling. It's a fun scenario and I recommend it. If you have misplaced your a copy I'm sure we can get you a new one.

Damn Matt, you paint a whole army of Fyreslayers in the same time I'm painting a single Stormcast trooper...

That's what I thought, however. Dark skin fyreslayers look really cool. Now they need to have beards on fire!

Now, let's go back to that wingless Stardrake...just building for now, I'm way too slow as a painter.

Matt I love those Fyreslayers!
Really simple colours but the orange hair and crests contrast the dark skin tones beautifully, and the splash of gold here and there add some polish and detail. I've started to really appreciate the Dwarf/Duardin plastic kits a lot more of late having seen the various work in this thread.
