I feel you, faces can be the worst. I really messed up Celestine's with a big blob of technical paint. But some Biostrip with a toothbrush made it possible to just strip the face and leave the rest of the mini. Maybe worth a try?

Excited for the ogre, love his skin tone, which colors did you use?

I'll have to gave it a try, hopefully I'll be able to strip just her mouth because I quite like the job I did on her eye.

The Ogre skin is a base of Vallejo Dwarf Flesh mixed with Vallejo Cold Grey, shaded with Reikland Fleshshade and then highlighted with the Dwarf Flesh/Cold Grey again and Dwarf Flesh/Light Flesh/Cold Grey.
I wanted to show the effect eating the undead was having on him, and it worked better than I thought it would.

Another mini finished, the Sewer Golem (Twisted):-

Took a while, but I'm really happy with him and his fishing buddy!

Ogre is getting there slowly too:-

Gotta go faster if I ever want my Cursed City set painted though.

Also pulled Minx out of the cupboard of unfinished things:-

Once she's done I'll to back and try to salvage Swamp Girl.

Swamp Girl does have quite the odd expression. Sewer Golem is amazing. A great model for you with your knack for picking out all the little details. Ogre is shaping up nicely.

Thanks for the info on the ogre skin!

Love all the details on the Sewer Golem, such a weird model and painted up great by you!

Thanks guys! Yeah, had a lot of fun painting the Golem.

Got another mini finished Minx (Guild Ball):-

Admittedly she was already mostly painted from a couple years, but at least she's done now, should've painted bigger spots on her cape though or more of them.

Didn't quite get the Ogre done though:-

Still needs his trousers painting.

Also decided to get a little bit more Guild Ball done with Hammer:-

He was a mass of mold lines, that I didn't do a great job of tidying up, but he doesn't look too bad.

Managed to get the Ogre (Cursed City) finished:-

Really happy with how he's turned out.

Didn't get much more painting done though, it's that time of year where I talk myself into trying to get all my Guild Ball minis built.
It won't happen this time either, there's still too many and I'm not that good at assembling metal dudes, but I'll get a little closer.

Thanks guys!

As expected, didn't get all my Guild Ball minis built (trying to get Original Minx's stick-thin arms to attach at the elbows pushed me too far), but I got another 20 or so done.

So back to painting, there's some more Cursed City stuff, Skeletons:-

Doing them in pairs so I don't have to face the horror of batch painting.

Also in the mood for painting something big, so Goatman returns:-

Not sure if I'll get him finished, but I'll try.

Didn't get much painting done (Had builders in making a mess) but I did get my skeletons (Games Workshop) finished:-

They should make a nice group if/when I get the rest done.

Also got my goatman's head finished and attached:-

Now I just need to paint up lots and lots of swirly armour.

New to the table, I got my next bit of Cursed City:-

Jelsen - Gritty Vampire Hunter.

And:-

Head Robo-nun (minus her head for now).

Those skeletons are lovely, especially the subtle corrosion on the shields.

Now showing more Samurai Marines, Bad Squiddo Amazons, and an Oldhammer Chaos Thug!

Painting total as of 3/28/2024: 21 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

Purple and patina are a wonderful combo. They look great. Robo nun is an exciting project.

OMG, so excited for head robo-nun and what scheme you will use. She and some of the Paragon Warsuits are on my list for later in the year, when I'm done with the 30 sisters I have in different stages lying around.

Final Ogre shots are great!

Thanks guys! Glad everybody likes my skellies!

Been struggling to put brush to mini at the moment, finally managed to get something done though, Sakana (Guild Ball):-

Guild Ball minis always manage to inspire me for some reason, not quite sure what's next though.

Great bright colors on him, love the purple/blue contrast. We could discuss his hipster beard, but he'll probably skewer anyone who tries

Thanks! Apparently it's meant to be a pirate beard not a hipster one.

Still hunting for my painting mojo, so I'm just working on any mini that holds my attention, at the moment that's Lysette (Reaper):-

Unfortunately, my camera is objecting to her light blue hair and throwing all the colours off, she's looks quite a bit better in hand.

Still picking off minis out of the Cupboard of Unfinished Things, this time it's Tirinha Fallowheart (Reaper):-

Lost interest in this one previously because her details aren't great (I think she's a bit miscast), so I just did a basic job to get her finished.

Nothing finished but at least I'm painting a bit more!

Giant Goat-man has returned from the Cupboard of Unfinished Things:-

As has Gladiator:-

And I've started one of those fancy new AOS Orcs:-

Everything is coming along nicely but slowly.

Nice mix of new things on your painting desk. Most excited about the orc banner, always good to see new color schemes emerge, once the minis are in the wild.

Thanks! I really like the super-colourful takes people have had with the Kruleboyz, so I'm not sure why mine has ended up so muted.

Managed to get another mini finished, the Gladiator (Kingdom Death):-

Not too sure how I feel about this one, I like some of it (like her shield), but I find other bits really meh.

Didn't quite manage to finish anything else.

Goat Man just needs his back banners done.

The Orc is down to just the straps left.

And, returning to the painting table, my Starstrider Captain just needs her veil doing.

I would've got them finished, but this happened:-

I thought I was out of the Malifaux business, but seeing these guys on a certain Youtube show pulled me back in.
Hopefully I actually get them painted, instead of letting them sit around for a bit then selling them like the rest of my Malifaux stuff!

Gladiator came out very nice. Those Malifaux models are sweet. Looking forward to those. Glad to see the Rogue Trader back.

I'd be carved up by that gladiator for standing and drooling.

The cow that tried to jump over the moon and got it's head stuck in a mountain range is coming along great as well.

I haven't gotten hooked on Malifaux, the local shop got burned by it hard, but Miniature Market (which is too close to me) is having tournaments at their main location. Maybe one day i'll wander over to see it in action.

Thanks!
I love Malifaux stuff, I even enjoy assembling them (despite their fearsome reputation!) but they look so crap when I paint them I never make it more than a mini or two into a set before I give up.

Thought I'd have more done, but I got really flummoxed by my Goat Man's banner (I got into a weird headspace with them) and I eventually had to put him back in the Cupboard of Unfinished Things so I could actually start painting again.

I did finish Lady Vulnavia (Games Workshop) though:-

Not my best work, but decent enough.

And my Orc (Games Workshop):-

Really pleased with this one, I think he's pretty snazzy!

And, new to the table, there's now a Chubby Lamplighter:-

Gotta stop picking him up by his pole though, I can only re-attach those lamps so many times!

Fagin:-

His face is a bit of a mess, I basically had to guess where his eyes were, apart from that though he's coming along okay.

And another Orc:-

Hopefully this one turns out as good as the last one.

Thanks! He's a nifty little fella.

Unfortunately, the weird head-space I found myself in on the goat man has followed me to the other guys, so I packed them away for now.

I'm currently poking paint at a Reaper Frost Giantess (It's big enough that I shouldn't mess it up too much, and cheap enough to replace if I do), but it's very slow going:-

She's not going to be very pretty when she's finished, but I don't want to take a hobby break because at the moment it feels like it would be a permanent one.

Man, I know that feeling, and yeah, something cool enough I'm interested but cheap and out there enough I don't care much if I screw it up is usually how I deal with it. Giantess' skin is looking pretty solid so far!
